Ok yall, fic concept:
Single Dad!Patton and 5yo!Remus and Roman
Probably only a couple weeks after adopting them
Pat puts them to bed but Remus isn’t tired
After their dad goes to bed he convinces Ro to help him make cookies
They have no idea how to make cookies
Remus ends up trying to add dish soap or some shit
Roman is pretty sure you need flour
They find food dye in the cabinets
Roman’s disappointed to learn that if you mix green colored flour and red colored flour it makes gross brown colored flour
Remus, however, is thrilled

They make a huge, loud mess
Patton comes in
He’s too tired for this shit but also he loves his sons so much it hurts
Helps them clean up
“If you wanted to make cookies, you should’ve told me!”
They work together to make some chocolate chip cookies at 11 PM
They’re mediocre tbh but they’re made with love
Ro and Rem fall asleep watching Coco and eating cookies
Pat puts them to bed and kisses them both on the forehead
While he’s leaving, he hears Remus, still half-asleep
“Patton?”
“Yeah, Kiddo?”
“That was the best ever.”
Patton probably cries
“Thanks.”
Remus says one more thing before he falls asleep:
“Love you, Dad...”
