Punch the fire to modern years

Hi hi hi!!! Togata headcanons for you! I enjoyed writing this because i looove togata, literally one of my favourite characters.

I made him in tomodachi life

-the two of you went to the same university but this isn’t how that you met. You had actually met at a movie theatre, during December. It happened to be showcasing the home alone movies. He had heard you talking with a friend who was very adamant that the best home alone movie was the fourth one. When you were arguing that the first movie was clearly the best and really did they even need a fourth movie? He had inserted himself into the conversation but you couldn’t tell what point he was trying to make.

-however you had exchanged numbers. Somehow you two became friends, you would often watch movies together, infact that was pretty much the main thing you guys did.

-however he is the best and worst person to watch a movie with. Let me explain. He can easily talk about points during the movie, it could be a positive remark or some negative comment. ‘Did you see the angle here? See how it helps make the viewer feel more pulled in?” Or “i can’t believe i wasted 2 hours on this” However if anyone else talks during the movie he is NOT happy. He is more lenient with some, you, once the relationship has progressed more, neneto (more on her later), agni. However with others, especially people in a movie theatre (the one time he wont talk during movies is if its at a theatre, he has soooome etiquette).

-if you are both at the movies together and you insist on having a drink, the conversation will go something like this.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes i’m sure”

“If you get a drink you’ll end up needing to go to the bathroom half way through, you do know that? Right?”

“That wont happen”

It does happen, he just doesn’t really care too much, but he probably will say that he told you so.

-he has letterboxd, it you dont, you will eventually. He either posts short sentences for reviews or huge rants about movies.

-in the case of who fell first and harder, you fell first, and it was mutual in falling harder. However despite you falling first he asked you out. The first date was at a pop up exhibit about old movies. He was in his element telling you loads of facts about the movies. It didn’t take long to fall inlove.

-it was interesting to get to know him, because from moment of meeting to dating him he seemed completely different. As we see in the manga he presented himself differently than he was. However with you he felt able to let his guard down.

-onto neneto.. now side note before i begin.

I like both elder brother togata to neneto and father figure. However for this modern AU it will be elder brother togata.

Now he didn’t introduce you guys immediately, he didn’t know you well enough yet. However when you and him got closer, he introduced you to her, Neneto was very friendly and since you guys got along well, because who wouldnt, neneto is great. He is overjoyed that you guys get along.

-he can somehow always get to films, like always. Driving past a corn field.

“Hey did you know in interstellar the corn fields were real corn? And that they sold it for a profit after”

Stuff like that, he also does know alot of fun facts about films and movie productions, which he will tell you, even if you dont ask.

-when he gets more on track with directing and writing, you literally need to pull him away from his work to have breaks, which causes a lot of fights, he says he needs to keep working, you say he needs a break. The fight is usually forgotten rather than being built on and talked about.

-under his exterior he is a huge softie in some ways, well at least i think so. Think to the manga where he lets Neneto shelter in his coat whilst waiting for Agni. At the end of the day he wants the people he cares about to be safe, warm, and happy.

-we see him smoke in the manga so in a modern AU i don’t see why he would be any different, i think the amount he smokes differs. Really stressed out= more smoking. Less stress= less smoking. If you smoke he will drag you with him outside to smoke with him. If you dont, he will still drag you outside even if its freezing.

I cant think of anything else right now.. sorry if some of it is OOC. Whoops. I love movies and letterboxd!!!!!
