Fact #11

The method for getting Thornyan and Baddinyan heavily differs between the games.

In Yo-kai Watch, they're simply fusion evolutions between Jibanyan with Coughkoff or Roughraff respectively, and can also be found at certain Yo-kai Spots. Like other fusions, you get the fusion's medal at the cost of the parts' medals.

In Yo-kai Watch 2, only one of them can be obtained, through an event near the Tranquility Apartments in Shopper's Row, where a Coughkoff and Roughraff are arguing over who's spikier and your choice determines who Jibanyan gets fused with, which gives you both the fusion and keeps the medal for Jibanyan.

In Yo-kai Watch 3, they're again simply fusions, but a cutscene plays after that ends in the fusion defusing, and you keeping Jibanyan's medal as well as getting the fusion's medal. There's two variations of these cutscenes depending on if you're playing as Nate or as Hailey.

Fact #34

In all formats of Yo-kai Watch manga, anime, and games, Thornyan's left ear has the cut in it (as is the case with other cat Yo-kai). However, on the back panel of Yo-kai Watch manga #4, Thornyan's right ear has the cut. This error does not appear to be present elsewhere.
