This is a lil scene from my fic A White Lie uwu snippet below:

    “Toko?”  Her eyes are focused on the ground, but her hands still reach for his.  Both of his gloved hands come into view, and she shyly grabs them.  “Would it be okay if I include a little New Year’s tradition from America?”

              He has a feeling he knows where this is going.  Maybe he hasn’t heard an overabundance about American holiday traditions, but her entire demeanor is screaming that it’s an intimate thing.  Nonetheless, he tells her to go ahead.

              The bells continue ringing, the people at the shrine continue talking, but it all fades out in this one moment.  Taking a soft breath, Stella moves closer.  Tokoyami can feel his heart racing in his chest as she leans forward.  Her curls brush against his beak and he feels her lips press against his cheek.  His feathers fluff up, and he’s sure he’s blushing hard enough it can be seen through his plumage.

Edit (11/30/21): I know I dropped this for, like, a whole year but I have everything in motion to finish it this winter!! The first two chapters needed some reworking, so that's been done so far, but y'all can expect a chapter 3 within the week :D

Toko and Stella doing homework together? (not sure if did it already but not gonna miss giving you the fluff™️)

Aww, that could be cute!

Stella is absolutely tye best study buddy to have for English class (given that it is her first language)

I don't doubt for a moment that Toko is good for literature classes, he's got that classic literature vibe about him. He prefers horror, but he knows a thing or two

Overall, though, Stella has a hard time keeping focused on her homework, so having the serious Tokoyami there helps immensely with her getting homeworks done on time.

You can bet Stella has all the study snacks, too. She focuses best when she's eating and there's always such a variety!

English isn't always a walk in the park, though. Stella being from a rural area near the southern U.S. has her vocabularly littered with y'alls and ain'ts lmao

She's gotta speak a liiiiiittle less casually when he practices with her sometimes. And the country twang does make it a bit hard for him (and others when they study with her) to understand but they make it through eventually.

They both suck at math, and that's just that. Jeed to seek out help from another for that fhdhdhd.
