Fuck being “tolerant”

Fuck "tolerance."

I am tired of so many conservatives saying "so much for the tolerant left". I'm not sure where you heard that the left is tolerant? I have never claimed to be tolerant. Do you think we are "tolerant" because we advocate for equal rights for BIPOC and the LGBTQ+ community?

In case you did not know, here is the definition of "tolerate"- 

Tolerate: "allow the existence, occurrence, or practice of (something that one does not necessarily like or agree with) without interference." also: "to endure without repugnance; put up with"

Synonyms include: permit, allow, authorize, etc.

We are not "tolerant" for supporting basic human rights and movements like Black Lives Matter. The usage of this word would suggest that we are "allowing" or "permitting" their existence, or just "putting up with" them.

That is disgusting. I am not "allowing" for someone's existence. The mere thought of someone having a mentality like that is why I actively fight for people who do not have the same privileges I do. 

No one will ever be able to call me "tolerant" when it comes to my political beliefs, because what I REFUSE to do is stay silent in the face of racism, homophobia, transphobia, and any and all bigotry.

Maybe the right should be known for being tolerant? Every day conservative news outlets give racists and bigots a platform to spread false information, hatred, and bigotry. 

So no, the left is not "tolerant" because we will not tolerate your hatred, your racism, and your bullshit.

In the name of hating Putin, literally everything has become permissible. Up to and including censorship, xenophobia, JW-style separationism, and the bullying of schoolchildren.

Oh, and of course, "No human is illegal" went the way of MeToo and "Safe legal and rare".
