X (Ti West, 2022).
"As the cast and crew began to come together to make this film, Adam [Wingard] and I watched a fascinating thing happen; people would ask each other about the first time they saw a Godzilla or King Kong film. It happened organically, and yet this became a rite of passage, a way to break the ice for crew members. An instant bond. For so many people, the question evoked a deep memory. An uncle had taken them to a rundown repertory cinema to see Godzilla; a grandmother had shown them King Kong on her old television that was as deep as it was wide; teenage friends had stumbled across a Titan film on late-night television. It didn't matter where we were working in the world—Iceland, Australia, Brazil—this question became the ritual. Everyone had a story. New trailer for THE WELL
Here's the new international trailer for Tom Hammock's post-apocalyptic thriller THE WELL. It looks a bit like a reworking of ASSAULT ON PRECINCT 13, but with the environmental angle in place of a prisoner. Still, could be fun, and there's some talent both behind and in front of the camera.
THE WELL stars Haley Lu Richardson, Booboo Stewart (Twilight), Jon Gries (Taken), Nicole Fox (“America’s Next Top Model”), Michael McCartney (The Amazing Spider-Man), Michael Welch (Twilight), Rena Owen, Max Charles (The Amazing Spider-Man), Jacqueline Emerson (The Hunger Games), Barbara Crampton (Re-Animator), and Michael Massee (Seven).
Just found this pre-production photo of Adam and our production designer Tom Hammock exploring a potential set location we didn't end up using. Tom isn't blinking in this photo, he's going to his "happy place" while Adam explains the work that will be required to achieve his vision.
