💛 Visiting Tom on set of any of his films!💁♀️
💛 + idea for a blurb
“Are you sure he doesn’t know?” You asked Harrison for maybe the tenth time since you landed an hour ago in Atlanta.
“He doesn’t.” He laughed as you two walked from the car to the backlot set. “It’s Tom- do you really think he’s noticed something’s up?”
“I’d like to think my boyfriend would realize the strangeness of me not responding to him for several hours when I’m supposed to be home and awake.” You stated with a laugh.
“You know what I mean. He’s worried, but that’s normal for him.” Harrison reassured you, quietly opening the door and holding it for you to go through before he stepped in behind you. The set was a massive pool of water with Venice buildings built around half of it, including a bridge, and a green screen surrounding all of it. No one had noticed you or Harrison step into the room, with everyone crowding around the cameras or bustling around the actual set.
You looked around the set from your spot, unable to see the familiar Spider-Man suit wandering around. Just as you were about to ask Harrison where Tom was, he started walking to the side of the set, silently beckoning you to come with him. When you two got to a good viewing spot off-camera, that’s when you saw your boyfriend, not wearing the iconic suit; instead, he was clad in khakis and a blue plaid shirt, complete with wires wrapped around him. He was still completely unaware of your presence across the set.
“He’s doing stunts today?” You asked as you looked over at Harrison.
“Oh yeah, he’s doing the Venice sequence this week. They flung him against the wall and drenched him yesterday. It was hilarious.” He laughed at the memory.
“Harrison, don’t you remember what happened last time I was here when he did stunts?” You let out a small sigh, and Harrison’s face scrunched up in a wince as he remembered that day on the set of Homecoming. Tom wasn’t expecting you there at all since your flight was supposed to be arriving later, and so, when he saw you, he messed up his stunt and sprained his wrist from it. You and Tom both got an earful from Jon about it, asking you to not surprise him on stunt days.
“Okay, so we just have to smuggle you out of here before he can see you.” Harrison said, doing his best to come up with a way to save the situation. You both knew these stunts were dangerous and incredibly serious, but you both knew Tom would eat shit again if he saw you halfway through a stunt.
“And action!” Jon called from behind the camera, and it was too late. Tom was up on the platform to start the sequence of him running across the poles. His first try was nearly perfect, but Jon wanted to run it again, and so Tom got back into position. You felt your stomach twist nervously, wanting him to be safe while he did his stunts.
But, of course, on the second run, Tom looked up just right to see you standing beside Harrison, and he missed his footing, falling into the water with the wires wrapped around him.
“Not again.” Harrison groaned, “Maybe Jon doesn’t know you’re here.”
“Is Y/N here?” Jon called out, looking around the set and you sheepishly waved at the director when he made eye contact with you.
“Hi, Jon.” You smiled.
“I specifically said no stunt days, remember?”
“It’s Harrison’s fault. I didn’t know.” You pointed at your friend beside you, who looked at you, offended, even though he hadn’t told you.
“Y/N!” Tom shouted as he got out of the pool. He started to (or tried to) remove the wires from around him so that he could run to you, but you beat him to it, coming up to him.
“You’re such a div.” You laughed, and, the moment you were within reach, Tom wrapped his wet arms around you to pull you in for a passionate kiss. He didn’t mind that there were hundreds of people around because he finally had you back in his arms after weeks apart.
“Great reunion, but Tom, you need to get changed and dried.” Jon reminded him.
“Sorry ‘bout that take.” Tom chuckled nervously. He grabbed your hand, tugging you away with him to his dressing room.
“Back on set in five minutes!” Jon called out to him.
“Got it.” He replied, before whispering to you, “That’s plenty of time, right?”
You shook your head at him, smacking his arm playfully. “Stop messing up your stunts.”
“That’s going on the gag reel right?” Harrison asked Jon outside.
“Absolutely.” The director laughed.
