Summary: The Sunshot Campaign is over, but only just. Determined to finally get through to him, Lan Wangji seeks out Wei Wuxian who is selfmedicating in a winehouse. Turns out, once Lan Wangji has him in his grip, Wei Wuxian has peculiar trouble freeing himself. Or alternatively, the fic that was born from my fascination with how effortlessly Lan Wangji could hold coreless Wei Wuxian down during the stolen Poenix Mountain kiss and what that might mean in a different setting. Kay's comments: A very whumpy potential start into a post-sunshot campaign canon divergence by none other than Tomatenmark! Really loved this, it hit exactly the right itch for Wei Wuxian whump and Lan Wangji acting impulsively and having to immediately reap what he's sown. Excerpt: “Wei Ying!” Lan Wangji stepped even closer. “Do not be recalcitrant! Jiang-zongzhu already ordered you to carry your sword. Why must you insist on being stubborn? By acting as you are you are only making trouble for others and inviting judgement upon yourself!” Wei Wuxian stilled. For an instant something appeared to shutter behind his eyes. All too fast his horrible smile returned however, making Lan Wangji wonder whether he had imagined the look. With a single wave of his hand, Wei Wuxian dismissed his ghost, stood from his sprawl and came stalking over. He stopped a mere handsbreadth in front of Lan Wangji, rudely invading his space. “Listen well, Hanguang-jun. I’ll only say this once,” he began in a low voice, staring Lan Wangji dead in the eye. His breath stank heavily of wine, but his gaze was entirely clear, piercing through Lan Wangji like shards of ice. “Mind your own fucking business.”
