Armin frequently compliments Annie and makes her blush. Annie, on the other hand, rarely uses words to express her love for him but shows her affection through little acts of kindness.

Yes yes yes, that’s my favorite way to portray their over all interactions especially in the beginning of their relationship. He’s good with words, and she’s really not, and she knows it and is a little self conscious about it, and so Annie does all she can in any other way. Armin doesn’t mind one bit. He thinks it’s the cutest damn thing.

Who cooks?

Who’s the messiest? The cleanest?

In general, they’re both cleanly! BUT they also enjoy their organized mess. 

Who fixes the vehicle after a breakdown?

Annie!! She gets right under the hood and all. Armin finds himself. Strangely turned on?

Living space has a leak! Who fixes it?

Armin find the source of said leak, Annie does the fixing!

Who buys the groceries?

They both do!! Grocery shopping is an adventure. Annie throws all the junk food in the cart.

Going out to eat: Who pays? Who orders the most food? And who has dessert?

Oh man okay so like I can see them alternating in regards to payment, because at first they’d both insist on doing it until one of them relented. As for food, Annie has a never ending abyss of an appetite, and Armin thinks it’s adorable. And they’d share a dessert! 

Would they go to the beach?

YOU FUCKIN’ KNOW IT however, both of them are morgue pale, so constant reapplying of sunscreen is necessary. Lord help which ever one forgets.......

but they’d do all the cheesy beach date things. Lots of walks, and picking up weird animals that wash up during low tide.

Who knows how to swim? Who doesn’t?

They both do! Annie’s just the stronger swimmer, given her physique.

Is someone multilingual? Do they try to teach another language to the other? How does it go?

I always really like the idea of both of them being bilingual in a modern au! Well, since I can’t really imagine there’s a lot of language diversity in canon given the situation. But in au, Annie is 9 time outta 10 going to be German, and Armin I usually write as also German, or Polish on one occasion. So if they have the same second language, I can see them speaking it at times when they’re around other people for added privacy, yeah? And if it’s not them same, they’d absolutely teach it to each other, or try to learn for the other. Which goes pretty well! Armin also has a thing for Annie dirty talking in German, so- 

Any pets? Or plants?

YES TO BOTH Armin is totes the one to come home with a random animal and Annie accepts it like. Okay, this is happening I guess. But she ends up loving their pets. There’s also plants all over their house! They have a little flower garden out front.

Baths or showers? Together or separate? Any bubbles or bubble fights?

Yes to all of those. Mostly showers, with baths on special occasions. Shower sex ensues in full.

Can they stand silence? Who talks the most? Who talks the least?

Well, in the words of Mia Wallace, 

“That's when you know you've found somebody special. When you can just shut the fuck up for a minute and comfortably enjoy the silence.” 

Armin and Annie just revel being together, in each other presence. Though of course, Armin talks way more. He’s a rambler, and Annie loves it. She loves listening to him, and just the sound of his voice.

Who stays up late? Who sleeps the most? Does the other have to force them to sleep/wake up?

Annie is both the night owl AND the heavy sleeper. Armin does have to occasionally force her up, though jumping on her is a terrible idea. He has the bump to prove that.

Who is the highest maintenance? Does the other mind?

Neither of them are very high maintenance!

Vacation ideas: who decides them? Where would they go, if anywhere?

Armin comes up with the plans, and they’d always be something unique that Annie actually gets very excited for. As long as she’s with him. They could go to a desolate rotting forest for all she cares. Armin’s there, so it’ll be fun.

Aruani cop AU where Annie is the really experienced one and Armin's the newbie and they're partnered together and they get stuck in like a shootout and Armin takes a bullet for her in like his arm/leg and she's like 'oh damn. You saved me, ok wow. Suddenly feelings for you? Wtf is going on with me?'

I wrote a drabble kind of like this only they were a detective/pathologist team!

but jesus okay YES I ACTUALLY ADORE THIS IDEA and you know they have the whole good cop/bad cop routine down but like, though Armin is the designated good cop, he can be scary as fuck and suspects don’t even have a clue like. Armin gets into their heads during interrogations to the point where he’s accidentally made people cry and Annie is just. 

Oddly turned on. 

But like with their amazing brains-and-brawn combination they easily become the best on the force and everything is beautiful.
