Context

Mafia:The New Country. A game where we play dual protagonists between Leo and Frank. Having a similar dynamic between Vito and Joe. Show how they form the Vinci crime family, living the Vinci-Moretti War and establishing themselves among the Commission.

The Marcano family is really interesting. An entire story about betrayal, love, bloodlust and power. I'd like to see how it began and even meet Lucio.

We play as a young Ennio Salieri. Meeting Frank, joining Peppone's family, meeting Morello, rising up the ranks and as the opportunity presents itself, the assassination of Peppone and the rise of the Salieri and Morello families.

Not much is known about Louie Romeo. But his cigarette card always intrigued me.

It's suggested Los Ondas is a mix of Las Vegas and LA. So COULD be a very interesting direction for Mafia IV

We'd go back to Empire Bay, see how the city's changed, who runs things, run into Francesca, slowly learn that Joe is still alive and learn that Joe is Lincoln's father. Also could look something like this if Vito gives into desire for revenge

The RICO act was introduced in 1970, it was virtually the downfall of the Mafia, due to the RICO act in the 70's and 80's high ranking members, even Bosses where ratting on each other left, right and centre to avoid heavy jail sentences it was a really bad time and basically the downfall of the Mob, the Mafia have never recovered to this day and never will.

We could follow the Clemente Family in Havana. Playing as a rising Mobster or even Fredo Clemente himself. Possibly during the late 1950s and 1960s during Fidel Castro's Revolution and the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Not listed because I ran out of space. Young Sammy Robbinson and rise to running the Black Mob and the Hollow and how he fell in with Sal Marcano.

actually i'm coming into your inbox about it. explain the sal tag 👀

honestly i really like sal as a villain. as a character, even, not (disclaimer) as a person, obviously.

it's so hard to describe hector. who even is sal? he's an enigma. there's something so complex about him. let's start with the obvious: he let his father die. carillo offered sal to wipe away his father's debts, and sal said no. and then he gets out of prison, tells his brothers that they should get revenge on carillo (despite y'know. being the technical one behind their father's murder), and suddenly he's got the whole of new bordeaux under his thumb. sure, he doesn't love his father enough to save him, and i do think that his brothers never found out carillo offered a way out, but damn. he needed his brothers to do the coup, and the only way to do that was to kill two birds with one stone.

a sharp axe cleaving forward. and god, the his little brother. the way sal wanted to give tommy the world, wanted him to go down the straight and narrow. but tommy grew up around sal, idolized sal, wanted so hard to be his big brother that he threw everything to the wind to be exactly like him. sal, forever moving forward, no time to look behind. valerio, lucio, his wife, names best left in the past. sal marcano is a man with no time for ghosts (and it will be his undoing.)

okay, i already told you this, but the deep down he'd rather be taming horses is about him going legit and doing all of this because he's tired of the life. he wants giorgi to grow up and see old age without constantly looking over his shoulder. and maybe fucking people over was the only way to do it, because his whole life sal had done nothing but fuck people over. but he fucks up this time, and god if his whole world doesn't come crashing down around him.

sal doesn't know what it's like to not be scheming every second of the day, but then again, no one in his line of work or his life does. the only thing that might be untainted of yet is giorgi, and i don't know. giorgi...... giorgi is a good boy. he does what his father tells him, and he reminds sal so much of tommy that it hurts.

(sidenote here but i do hc that tommy was really the only brother sal genuinely loved, and he regrets it every day bc their closeness was what tied tommy down to him. if sal had been more distant, tried to push, tommy would've definitely gone down a crime-free path.)

sal's is just. like. he isn't a good man, like hector, and hector wasn't a good man, either because no one is truly good. they're only human. it's the humanity in sal that brings his downfall, his capacity for love that still exists, his want for something other than this blood and violence. but the problem with that is he has built his empire, his whole being on that sort of death and destruction. and once you wade into that treacherous river, you'll be swept away by the current.
