summary: You and Tommy have been dating for a while, but It’s been hard. Long distance really was doing It’s worst but you had a plan. A plan which involved one of your besties, motherinnit/ Tommy’s mother! Let’s just say, the plan worked :)

´And why exactly do you need my mothers number?’ Tommy asked, having a quick laugh at you, as you were in vc. ‘Tom, I told you! I wanna have someone in contacts when somethings happened to you!’ You lied. You had a whole other plan in mind, you just hoped your boyfriend would believe you right now. ‘You sound just like her right now, actually AHHAHAHA’ he answered ‘but what’re yóú gonna do if somethings happened to me, I mean I love you, but you’re all over.. there..’ you could feel his mood dropping. ‘It’s just, I just wanna make sure you’re okay, Tom. I love you too, honey, and I miss you.’ You said, feeling bad. He answered quickly: ‘I miss you too, so much Y/n you have no idea. I’ll send it to you now. Thank you for actually caring,’ he said and whispered : ‘you’re so cute’ after. You smiled, getting the message with motherinnit’s contact. Tommy audibly yawned. ‘Love, have you gotten enough sleep?’ You asked him. ‘Want me to be honest?’ he answered after a small silence. Your smile dropped, it had been killing him. The distance was hard for him right now, you could tell from the long paragraph texts he sent you when you were sleeping. ‘How about you go to bed right no-‘ you tried, ‘No, no’ he interrupted. ‘Please? Please.’ He couldn’t say no to that. You said your goodbyes, you made him promise he took a nap. ‘I love you baby’ he said as he left the voice channel. Your heart fluttered, it still did after all this time. It was still like the time you met up for the first time, and he looked at you in the eyes that time in Brighton. The look he gave you, the time you’d developed a crush on him. And now you were here, 5 months later, and you weren’t complete without him anymore. But you were gonna fix it.
You had talked a lot with his mother in the time you were in England and just started dating Tommy. She was very lovely, always comforting and complimenting. She laughed at your humor, and honestly liked you a lot. She always said she was happy to have you, and told you little embarrassing things about Tommy from his childhood which he gave her angry looks for. At one point, it was a habit to drink tea in the morning together and talk, when Tom was still sleeping. He’d go downstairs an hour and a half later, rubbing his eyes saying: ‘The early birds are gossiping again.’ Which made you blush, being so accepted into the family. And now you were calling with that woman, your boyfriends mother, who never failed to make you smile. You both got distracted, a conversation always coming quick with her. ‘Thank you! Now, is he sleeping?’ You asked. ‘Yes he is! He just told me he’s taking a nap. He really does do everything you say.’ You giggled, and you secretly planned your trip. You were gonna go to England, Nottingham, to your boyfriend, to Tommy. ‘I’m so glad I could help you with this! So it’s all set?’ The sweet female voice said over the phone. ‘Yeah! Honestly mrs. Simons, thank you so much! You’re the best.’ you answered. ‘No problem, love, we’ll all be happy too see you again soon.’
And the same loving voice was screaming your name from the other side of the big hall at the airport. You looked around, and spotted her smile. You came in running, your luggage slowing you down, but you didn’t care. She held you in a long hug, her familiar perfume and warmth feeling like home. ‘Hello dear, are you okay? How was the trip?’ ‘Amazing, mrs. Simons, no worries.’ She picked you up with her car, riding towards Starbucks first to treat you into some coffee which you really needed right now. ‘Thank you so much, for everything.’ ‘Of course dear, you’ve been so lovely to us. Now, he is streaming right now though, do you mind? We can wait-‘ she asked. ‘It’s totally okay, that’s even more fun’ and you gave her a smile. She laughed ‘I understand, WELL LET’S GO THEN!’ she said and you laughed at her excitement. You put on his stream on your phone quickly, looking at him entertaining his chat and your smile growing wider at what he was about to witness. Your stomach was filled with butterflies, you were nervous, but also so happy to finally see your lover again.
Tiptoeing up the stairs you heard his voice getting closer. Mrs. Simons stayed downstairs, not wanting to ruin the moment. You pressed your ear against his door hearing his voice. Being so close to him already made your face bright red. You wondered what you were gonna do, and then you came up with something. He was talking about his second channel when you knocked on his door. ‘NOT NOW MUM!’ you heard him scream a moment after, making you slap a hand on your mouth to muffle your laughs. You knocked again. ‘I’M STREAMING!’ he shouted and continued his story. You knocked one last time, making him turn around and shifting his headset. He was about to stand up, when you bursted the door open. ‘AYY SURPRISE, B*TCH’ was the only thing you came up with there and then. His jaw dropped, his eyes shifting from confusion to pure emotion. His loud persona dropped for a minute, but he got out of his chair as quickly as he could, almost making him fall. Seeing his face again was surreal, and when he finally reached you and had his arms wrapped tightly around you, a tear suddenly made its way down your cheek. He had never clung to your waist so tightly. His height, his hands, his smell, his hair, you’d missed everything. ‘Baby’ he spoke, very softly, stroking his hands through your hair. He obviously forgot about the stream, but chat was freaking out. ‘WHAT’ ‘Y/N?!’ and ‘AWWWW’ were littering his screen, the fans freaking out also. ‘Did I give you a heart attack?’ You giggled. ‘The best one I’ve ever had’ he said before kissing you. He did it longer than he normally did, and the kiss was deeper, feeling his heart ram through his chest. You broke the kiss, even though you wanted it to last forever. ‘Stream’ you whispered and he turned around in shock. ‘Oh yeah, OH YEAH HEY CHAT’ he said, laughing at his own silliness for forgetting, and quickly wiping some of his tears. ‘I just got jumpscared by my partner, but they’re here? Out of nowhere? LOOK AT THEM THEYRE ACTUALLY HERE-’ he spoke, whilst he sat down again. He patted his lap, signaling for you to sit there. You blushed as you waved to chat, his arms wrapped around you like he never wanted to let you go. ‘Chat! Hi again’ you said, laughing at how shocked you’d made everyone. You continued stream, just taking about some stuff and how you got here and planned it. ‘That’s why you needed my mum’s number..’ Tommy put the pieces together. ‘And we planned it all when I made you take a nap!’ You proudly said. ‘Smartass.’ He said, but pressed a peck on your cheek.
He ended sooner, wanting to spend time with you. You talked for a bit, he went downstairs, you greeting his dad and the dogs, him thanking his mom for making this possible. After mrs. Simons made dinner and you two had eaten enough, he threw you a can of coke and got some blankets. He knew you liked those, and also how much you liked Coca Cola like him. He put on your favorite show on his tv upstairs, that you were currently watching every night on discord. You’d already both changed in some comfy clothes. A warm feeling spread through your body where a coldness had sat for the last months you hadn’t seen him. You were starting to fall asleep, you could feel it. ‘You tired baby?’ He whispered into your hair as he rubbed your back. ‘Mhmm’ you answered. ‘One second.’ He said, as he ran downstairs. He told his parents goodnight, thanking them again, and brought you a glass of water next to the bed. You smiled widely as he set it down, still remembering your habits. He turned off the tv, and crawled into bed with you again. He lay his belly against your back, in a spooning position, and you lay comfortable in his bed, his breathing in your hair familiar. You felt sleep wash over you, and before you entered your dreams, you softly spoke: ‘I love you.’ His grip on your waist tightened, a kiss pressing just behind your earlobe. ‘I love you so much, honey.’ You smiled.
Yawning you got out of your position. Slowly waking up, you looked around your room. But it wasn’t your room. You looked behind and saw a sleeping Tommy. Your body first felt shock, then everything hit you again, and you felt happy again. Stroking some hair out of his face you loosened his grip on your waist and gave him a quick peck on the lips, happy you had returned to your lover, your soulmate. Slowly walking downstairs you weren’t surprised you saw mrs. Simons sat at the counter table, a seat next to her free. There were two cups of tea on the countertop, her smiling, expecting to see you. You smiled and gave her a hug. Your routine continued, and this time, it would be for a longer time. Your house was somewhere else of course, somewhere far away from here, but you’d never felt so at home.
