For my AU, I’ve created a list of my head canons and ideas.
Felis blatta: pickier eaters, and therefore less likely to poison themselves, the Common breed is the tomple elves keep as pets. In general, they get into less trouble than their Jumping cousin. They are less messy, nesting in dark corners rather than spinning webs. They hibernate during the winter. [Arsenal: The canon breed is this one, but we only know that they eat dust, are kept as pets, and are mixture of hedgehogs+cats+cockroaches]
Felis aranea: These buggers get into trouble. They can leap great distances, spinning webs for their own home and pleasure. They have a tendency to place with their own silk like a kitten with string. They climb remarkably well, scuttling with their spider legs anywhere and everywhere. They are fluffy and tiny menaces. They refuse to be kept as pets and don’t like the company of elves on the same way as the Common breed. However, despite their apparent dislike of elven company, the Jumping Tomple seems fascinated with elves. [Arsenal: I made this breed up, but if you want to use the idea or make your own other breeds, you don’t need to credit me]
