豆苗ともやし。たっぷりスプラウトのさっぱりナムルサラダ。

Lovely 5-minute veggie side recipe: bean sprouts and pea shoots (or other sprouts) in a lemony sesame dressing. I like it both with and without ham, and would add also shredded carrots for variety and color. Recipe translated behind the cut.

INGREDIENTS 1 pack (~85 g) of pea sprouts 1/2 bag (~125 g) of bean sprouts 2 slices of ham A - 1/2 tsp powdered chicken stock A - 1/2 tsp salt 1 tsp sesame seed (white if you have it) 1 tbsp lemon juice 1~2 tbsp sesame oil Sugar to taste (not in the recipe but I like it)

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Cut off the roots of the pea shoots, and cut the shoots in half. Cut the ham into half moons and julienne it.

2. Add vegetables to a microwave safe dish, cover lightly with plastic wrap, and microwave 2~3 minutes at 600W.

3. Mix the powdered stock and salt. While the vegetables are hot, drain the veggie water into the powder mixture and stir vigorously. (Optional: Fry ham briefly for more flavor.) Add the ham, sesame seeds, lemon juice, and sesame oil to the liquid, pour over vegetables and toss. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
