One: A Letter
To my future self,
Hi.
Let me start this off by introducing myself. I am you. Or more like, I am a part of you. A month has passed since I turned twenty-five. It’s been years since I’ve written anything that isn’t work-related so I’m a little rusty. This will be quite disjointed but I hope you’ll cut me some slack.
I created this blog a few months ago but I didn’t really know what I wanted this to be about or even how to start it. It’s only now, on my last night at home before I have to go back to the city where I currently work at, that I have decided that I want this to be some kind of a digital journal. I want to write about my twenties -- the good, the bad, and the in-between. I want you to come back to this place for you to see how far you’ve come. I think it can -- will -- get ugly at times. But there will be good days. I promise.
It is two a.m. now and I need to hit the sack. I can’t believe that it took me almost three hours just to write this short post but... well, baby steps, I guess.
Until my next post,
mc
