I'm a huge Lady Gaga fan but I've been on a huge Artpop kick since a lot of the songs inspire me for Art
I tag @thecoffeerain @piperafterdark @cybersvoodoo @vmeansfive @sitical
Do you wanna see me naked, lover?
Do you wanna peek underneath the cover?
Do you wanna see the girl who lives behind the aura, behind the aura?
When you touch me, I die
Just a little inside
I wonder if this could be love
This could be love
I, I wish that I could dance
On a single prayer
I wish I could be strong
Without somebody there
If you think about it, Goku is pretty much the reason all the Dragon Ball couples met and are together.
And I find it funny but also sweet.
its so fun getting to major plot beats simultaneously in both of these games and having to figure out what All of my blorbos are doing during
like i know in the process of defeating titan and esp after mourning the scions getting Blasted ciel and alta are forming a genuine friendship rather than a boss/employee thing, they both have the echo, they both saw what the empire did to their friends, they both Felt noraxias fear as she got punted into the wall, both carried the scions bodies to their graves and with all the travelling done in between they learned "oh fuck i actually really really care about you and dont want you to die"
and for claw island id need to know more abt the vigil plotline to have a definite picture of what would go down but irene is definitely helping revyl cope with tybalts death and the way it now has to take on the responsibility of being a lightbringer without him in the immediate wake of the attack
My favorite thing about European musicals is when they give someone “armor” but it’s actually very visibly a silver sequined shirt
currently sculpting a little doll for myself because i want to feel like i have something that's mine that's speacial.
Animating is great
long post btw
idk. mayb its the hyperempathy in play but whenever a species goes extinct i really cant help but like? mourn especially when it’s a result of settler activity.
for example one of the most famous dances from the philippines is from the ppl of visayas. if you’re filipino you probably already know about it - the tinikling dance. at its most basic, it consists of two ppl holding two bamboo poles and pounding them on the ground and then together to a beat while a dancer dances in between the poles, moving their feet to make it look like they’re weaving in and out of the bamboo. on its own it looks fun, and many of my family members have joked abt how they used to go home with bruised ankles from having their feet caught in between the poles. but looking into it as a cultural practice it came about from bisayans observing a local native bird, the tikling, as it avoided traps made of bamboo and bits of grass and trees that threatened to snag its feet. and they took inspiration from it. a classic humanity moment, to see something in your environment and think “hm? what if i did that? :0″ a love letter to the land and the fellow beings that inhabit it around us
so when i hear about anthropocene extinctions, ESPECIALLY those that have to do with settlers trying to cut off a food source from native people like how the bison was nearly wiped off of the face of the earth, how the most abundant bird in north america, the passenger pigeon, was gone within two centuries of overhunting and deforestation i don’t just mourn the loss of these animals on a biodiversity level but i mourn the loss of a cultural icon(?) if thats the best way to put it? how many cultures sang and danced and painted and imitated the songs and behavior of creatures that no longer exist because someone saw these cultural practices and decided that chasing the dollar was worth selling out generations-old traditions and the careful balance local ppl had to care for a land that cared for them in return. or worst, saw them as offensive to *their* particular world view and purposefully sought to destroy them. idk. thats it tbh. rip the ivory billed woodpecker
