SUBLIME CINEMA #617 - DEATHTRAP
Not many people know this Michael Caine/Christopher Reeve thriller, but it is ace, and totally underrated. It is very theatrical and Polanski-like in its tone and use of confined spaces. It’s refreshing to see Reeve as a real actor here, in command of a talent. It is the only role of his aside from Superman and Remains of the Day that I actually know.
Opening mins - Top billing credit

never in all my life did i expect to see a rhamphorhynchus being sold *by itself* somewhere so unspecialized as a drug store toy aisle.
If J&J have different billings why did they say they have the same? They explained in an interview that they decided to have the same billing no matter how screen time ect. goes
The same what?
What interview say they have “the same billing”? Send me that link. You’re probably remembering wrong because it’s 14 seasons of “starring Jared Padalecki” and followed by Jensen Ackles followed by lesser beings .
When Steve McQueen and Paul Newman each wanted top billing for Towering Inferno, the compromise was a staggered biling, McQueen’s was on the left and lower and Newman’s on the right and higher - which meant McQueen’s was read first.
In rare cases two TV actors share top billing by switching 1st and 2nd credit order every episode and my brain fart is preventing me from remembering what TV show it was. Jared and Jensen never switched in the credit order for 14 seasons.
Maybe you’re remembering a fandom lore that they’re paid the same, which they are not. They may be paid the same convention appearance fees because of the heavy rumor in the early years that Jared arranged a better convention contract for Jensen because his management at the time was shit. Jensen’s manager allegedly didn’t want him to do conventions, which right there is recipe for shitty convention agreements.
