*this is specifically the anglicisation of the irish name ciarán [keer-rawn]. i have no problem with ciarán but despise kieran and all of its other stupid spellings including but not limited to keiran, kieron, keeron, keiron, etc. at this point between the spelling and butchered pronunciation i don't even see it as the same name.

** where i'm from we use b.o (sometimes pronounced "bo") to mean body odour. so "he has a bad case of bo" means he stinks.

*** saying it out loud just sounds like an english person saying "harlow" and dropping some of the letters. i can't see it as a separate name even though written down it looks fine.
