Here are my Top9 posts from 2022.

I need to point out that of my top13 posts on Instagram from the year, 11 were from the 84 series. I'd say my tumblr top9 is a more accurate yearly summary. Instagram had several major algorithm changes this year, which hurt the reach of pretty much everything else I posted. Overall 2022 is a weird year to look back on. Life was bad so although I had a lot of great ideas to work on, most of them are stuck in brainstorming text files still. Honestly, considering the hellscape the year was, I feel like  2022 was a win since I only had to stop posting for 2 months and when I was able to make art I was able to significantly improve some of my past series.

Retrospective time! I thought I better do one of these art grid thingies, too! Art vs. artist? Best 9 of the year? What is this all about? I picked 9 that were drawn in 2022 and stuck them on a gird. Anyway, thanks all of you for the best year for The Mutant Epoch RPG so far, and a big shout-out to all of you who have been Epochians since the early days. Also, a huge welcome to all you new arrivals. Thanks for supporting an indie game designer and artist! There is much, much more coming for 2023 so stay tuned to this space for art, updates and post-apocalyptic gaming goodness. Thank you for all your help this year! It was a year in which I was able to introduce many Japanese artists. I hope that my postings will help shine a light on many artists. Top 9 of 2022 🖤📸🥂📸🖤 It seems Dr. Mrs The Monarch continues to be my most popular cosplay. 🦋👑🦋 Demona and X-23 made my top 9 again. 🖤 Rogue from X-Men Evolution was one of the 6 new cosplays I made this year. Here are my #top9of2022. Plenty of ups and downs this past year. I guess like every year. I homeschooled my two kids alongside my wife, published some, did a couple of in-person poetry readings for the first time since the start of the pandemic, taught writing workshops, continued my rewarding work as Editor in Chief of carte blanche magazine, travelled to the Maritimes and New York, put together a chapbook titled ‘Anne, George, and Me’ inspired by Beaver Hall Group painter Anne Savage and tabled at Expozine, co-juried the 2022 bpNichol Chapbook Award, was a mentor for the Fresh Pages Editorial Mentorship program, and a panelist at the inaugural NOTA conference. These are just some of the projects I took on. Phew! I’m proud of a lot I accomplished but my overall health was precarious and I felt like it affected my day to day life moreso than previous years. Catching covid this past spring and its after effects did a number on me. Continuing to recover from a nasty bout of bronchitis is my most recent priority. Ultimately, I’m most grateful for my loved ones, family, friends, connections I’ve built, and continue to build living this life poetic. There’s more to be done in 2023.
