From SNCC to SDCC...

Congressman John Lewis is amazing for so many reasons, one of which is that he recognized that to reach kids, it was not enough to write a traditional autobiography.  So, as a way to tell the story of his life, from Alabama sharecropper’s farm to chair of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) to Congress, he worked with amazing producers of sequential art to produce a trilogy of books (the first two volumes are available in paperback and digitally) that are absolutely amazing.  And, at Comic-Con, Congressman Lewis didn’t cosplay or create Dubsmash videos, but he did lead a mini-march of his own.  Steve Rogers would approve.
