The emotional shock of being so sure all the human children previously in your care died at some point, only to find out one of them survived to adulthood without you even knowing. You see them with the adults who have cared for them in your absence, and you can't help but be so aware that it could've been you.

(They'd probably have a chat and keep in touch via their connections with Frisk, but there'd be a lot of awkward trepidation between them. Toriel feels a lot of guilt over not caring for Clover, and given that they only knew her for five minutes in this timeline, Clover feels a bit awkward. Like she's projecting grief that isn't theirs onto them.)
