A MUCH better run today, phew! 😅
My body didn't try to betray me so that was nice. Each mile was effortlessly faster. I did purposely choose a flatter, smoother route to test run the new shoes again, so it may have just been technically easier as well.
But I got some good advice from some lovely strangers in a running forum, and was kindly reminded if the basics lol. I think I got complacent with my gear. I wore proper socks, and I used a heel lock lace as well as tighter lacing in general. I'm usually pretty careful not to overtighten my shoes, I HATE the feeling of pressure on the top of my foot, but I didn't experience any. I bandaged the blister well too, of course.
No pain or rubbing! While I was running lol. It still hurts the blister when I walk, and I think it's because I'm a forefoot striker? So maybe when I walk the shoes move different? Idk but all that matters is it was a pleasant and pain free run and my new shoes were not a bad purchase lol.
