#toronagashi #arashiyama #kyoto #japan ✷ 今年は送り火と灯籠流しへ行こう と決めていたので 灯籠流しに嵐山へ行って来ました💫 ✷ 灯籠のひとつひとつに 色んな方の色んな想いと たくさんの方への愛が灯されて川を流れてく姿は 切なくもあって でも美しくて なんだか不思議な気持ちになりました✧ ✷ 日本のお盆て素敵だなと ふと思えた20代最後の夏🌌 ✷ 雨上がりだったからか 河川敷も涼しい中 ずっと行ってみたかった灯籠流しに 色んな想いを乗せて見に行けて 本当に本当良かった✨🏮 ✷ 私と出逢ってくれて 旅立っていった人達 私より先に旅立ってしまったけど 出逢ってくれて 一緒に作れた思い出は 一生の宝物で言葉に表せない程 ✷ 還ってく灯籠を見送って また来年も還ってきてねと 心の中で笑顔でお別れができました✧ #京都 #嵐山 #灯籠流し #送り火 #大文字 #お盆 (Kyoto, Japan)

Toro Nagashi- in this ceremony, people wrote the names of deceased loved ones on lanterns, which are then lit and set to float on the water, as something to accompany the spirits of the dead as they depart after returning in the late summer to spend time with the living (if you've seen the movie "Kubo and the Two Strings", it depicts this ceremony beautifully).
