TORONTO TRIP 2019
some pictures from my Toronto trip with my sister. We went at the end of March and it was our first trip together by ourselves in a very long time. Last time we traveled was in 2012 to visit our relatives in Vancouver. This time it was just the two of us and it was a great experience for me since I am looking to moving out one day when I actually can afford to, and this was the independace that I needed. Also before this trip I was fighting with my parents so getting away from them was all I wanted. Needless to say this time away from them was good for me.lol. now I want to go back cause there was still so much we don't cover yet.
DAY 1- we arrived in Toronto and waited at union station to check into our airbnb. The only thing scary that happened wa this guy who was yelling at this lady for not giving him napkins I was like right beside him so I was really scared. He just threw a tantrum and left thank god that's all that happened. We got to our airbnb and I got sick and just slept until dinner. We went to get some water and other things for cooking at a grocery store. I could not really eat cause I was sick and I felt so bad to have to pack it up when I barely touched anything.
DAY 2- I was feeling better today at least and we went to the eatons center for some shopping and then had ramen from a place that was completely written in kanji lucky I was still able to read the Chinese characters or we would have never found it. After wards we went to go get bubble tea right next door cause today was really windy and cold and I was still kind of ill so that ends our day. Honestly if I wasn't sick we would have done more for the past two days.
DAY 3- we went to the aquarium and CN tower in the morning and then went to go eat Korean BBQ and then walked around Kensington market mainly to buy gifts for friends and family and it was successful.
DAY 4- we went to casaloma and then went to Korean town and then back to the eatons center for a second time. Later we went to an expensive sushi place which was a bad idea cause we just wasted it all in the toilet right after.
DAY 5- last day and we went have dim sum in the morning and then walk around China town and discovered a place filled with claw machines and tried our luck. Well I discovered I wasn't that bad at it I won two plushies which was not intended but oh well. We then went to a matcha cafe to try their soft serve ice cream. Then we just walked around queen street for so more shopping and went home to pack
DAY 6- we went to the airport at 4 am and I barely slepted. I was able to sleep on the plane which was surprising. Then we just got picked up the airport and went home. Wish I didn't come back at all really since I'm still dealing with my parents and it has not gotten any better. So I wish my stay was a little longer. Lol. But also my skin was suffering from the cold air so it was looking pretty bad throughout the trip
Virgil Cutting a Watermelon at Midnight
Virgil: *cutting the watermelon to pieces while eating the white parts with a bit of the pink still on it* Roman: Virgil stop eating that part; I don’t think you’re suppose to eat that part and besides it’s gross Virgil: *stops cutting the watermelon to take a piece of the rind and chomps down on it looking Roman dead in the eyes* Roman: *gets up from his chair in horror* What in gods name?
You know when you spook a cat and they go straight into the air?
My birthday cake didn’t turn out which is a bummer but is the gamble I make every year with the annual birthday cake roulette I play. It was edible but the recipe itself was meh and the icing was not on par with what I expected.
However, I will plaster you with a few highlights from the weekend in Toronto with my friend Amy where we saw Brandi Carlile, hit up the amazing aquarium (my second time, her first and nearly deserted early in the morning), and then the Jays vs Orioles before upgrading ourselves on the train ride home to sweet, sweet business class where I kicked her butt at all the card games.
I supplemented birthday activities with a last minute ticket purchase to see Dylan Moran last night whilst he was in town and though a terrible financial decision on the cusp of my big trip (but 2018 is The Year of Living Dangerously, Financially Speaking), it was the correct decision, he continues to be my favourite stand-up comedian to see live.

Mirror selfie because the 18 year old girl in me says so.
