In honour of Brenda Fricker on the news of her passing, I wanted to post the trailer from a little Canadian film she did with Olympia Dukakis that has been one of my favourites in the last 15 years. More people should see it, it's sweet, funny, and cute.

The gals and I did our annual Stratford Festival trip this past extended weekend, which is earlier than our usual September time and I saw 5 shows in four days (some managed to squeeze in 6!) and I don't know that I could pick a favourite, they were all so, so, so good. We also did various talks and tours that were also so, so, so good. Couldn't recommend enough.

We don't all go to all the same thing so some healthy jealously between us for what we didn't choose. But nobody had any regrets for their choices.

But I am very, very tired now. Oof. Six and a half hour drive back. Fairly easy but I am spent.

Having free will means you can eat half of it straight out of the container all by yourself.

Suffering from MS means you drop the container putting it back in the fridge getting it everywhere.

In a month’s time we’re going on holiday, to Ubud in Bali. This will be our fifth time, because we’re creatures of habit and frankly after the last few months we need it. It will be a week of full White Lotus indulgence, food, massage, lounging by the pool and relaxing. Hopefully it will give us both the reset we need. Can. Not. Wait.

Okay, it is tiny but it’s all I got. On Saturday I am going to a play at a local theater that is different from the theater I volunteer at. They’re doing Steel Magnolias and my friend and her grandson and I are going to see it and support them. Also I’m looking forward to the Montreal Canadiens beating the Buffalo Sabres in this series 🤞🏼

My birthday is in a few weeks so spending all the monies on a fairly fancy weekend in Toronto to catch two Blue Jays games, take business class on the train (food and booze, bay-bee), stay at the Fairmont, and take the friend coming with me who was totally up for a bougie weekend, and is originally from NB so has only been to TO for a concert, or through it, to the aquarium (my fave!) and up the CN Tower (a thing I haven't done in awhile). So it's win-win.

Also, also the Ottawa Charge made it to the PWHL final and I look forward to their series against the Montreal Victoire, starting to-night.
