i know that butches don't have to be "100% butch" all of the time so I know that it is okay for them to use purses and other "feminine-coded" things but I don't like to? but purses are very useful and i can't just carry around a backpack in all settings, sometimes it just doesn't fit. so do you have any advice for good butch-style purses I could try out that wouldn't make me feel uncomfortable? like is leather a good idea? what length or size?

Honestly, I hate indulge straight men, but the best results I found when thinking about how to answer this question came up when I googled “man-purse.” I would say if you’re comfortable with leather, that’s definitely something that reads as more “masculine” to me. The size seems to be kind of variable, I like one that’s just a little bit bigger than the minimal I would need to fit a phone and a wallet and that does seem to be pretty popular. I think the length should be such that is rest at about your hip, google also seems to agree. The main thing is squarer shapes, less that sort of rounded purse style that seems to be common. Followers, any further advice? -Mod T

umm i just watched dead poets society on netflix and my heart?? it hurts?? but its so good and meaningful and the ending is great but why they gotta do me like that?? ahh – i can see why you love it (i cried so hard toward the end with them in the snow)

dude that movie makes me cry like HELL (you can go thru my dead poets society tag if u wanna cry some more) but there’s a HECK ton of subtext to imply that neil is gay and its all just Very Sad and SHIT 

its a Family Movie in my family. it’s my grandpas favorite movie, my moms favorite movie, and it’s one of my favorites (it’s at the top of my list)

i just realized that my acearo nomalterous (a ~special~ attraction not romantic/sexual/platonic) was just comphet. like i knew i didn't like guys and i didn't feel like i needed to, but a relationship with a girl felt so impossible that it could never be *real* attraction. and internalized homophobia made me feel sex repulsion l. wowza, im sorry i just vented in ur ask box i just had a bunch of revelations and i needed to share it with someone who would understand <3 (mogai helll)

it’s the year that my big fic that might become a novel is set in, im p sure its the year nellie bly published around the world in 72 days, it was a rlly good year for oscar wilde, overall just a Really Good Year!

hey i was scrolling through your blog looking for advice about how to pick a new name and i couldn't find anything. do you have a specific tag or a post which suggests methods of picking a new name? like i don't really feel a strong attachment to my current one and i don't know if that's normal. i think it would be cool to have a different name, even if its only for online but i've had issues in the past with feeling like the name "fit" me. Thanks :)

Hey there! so first off, I just want to mention that its not uncommon or weird to want a different name or feel like your current one doesnt really fit! All kinds of people (cis, trans, or otherwise) decide to choose new names or take on multiple names for different contexts all the time!

I do have a “names” tag that contains mostly positivity or advice regarding new names, I believe there are some posts in there on how to go about it or what to avoid (like picking culturally significant names etc)

But other than that my advice to you would be to try baby name websites or blogs like this one to compile a list of names that you like, and then try them out! You should try introducing yourself as one of the options irl to see how it sounds and feels, and you can do this at food places that ask for a name cus it doesnt matter if you use a different name each time and then you can hear them call you over for your order and get a good feel for it. Hope this helps!

i Absolutely felt like neil was gay and there was such a spark between him and todd, which is why it was so sad with the last act of the movie! why they gotta hurt him like that??? like let my dead poet gay theatre son act!! let him do the plays and shit! plus i love robert sean leonard's acting already, plus robin williams!! ugh the symbolism, esp with that last scene !!

ALL OF THE ACTING IS INCREDIBLE!!!

the symbolism is incredible and heartbreaking, and you might already know this, but there was a deleted scene where they’re running in the snow and one of them says “GOD I LOVE THIS!!” and the other says “what, me?”
