Are you kidding? I'm small and easily intimidated and talk with too much energy. Let's be real, Hanzo would not tolerate me. And it's hard to buy the affection of someone richer than you. McCree, perhaps I could get along with. I like spaghetti westerns? And I think we'd have a similar sense of humour.

YO WHAT CLOTHES DO THEY WEAR?? Just imaginin jesse walking hanzo’s body around while wearing flannel or ridiculous western shirts is killing meeee

I’m glad you asked. I was just thinking about it (touched on it very briefly in my answer to wings-of-justice).

They will absolutely wear their own clothes. Their builds aren’t too vastly different, Jesse’s legs are just a tab bit longer than Hanzo’s, and Hanzo’s got a little more muscle in him.

Jesse’s flannels feel tighter as a result, and he leaves a couple more buttons undone than usual. He doesn’t mind, and gets a little kick out of it every times he walks past a reflective surface. He wears Hanzo’s pants, because they match, they fit, and his ass looks fine in them. He keeps his Bessy, and Hanzo keeps protesting that Jesse’s leaving his hair free so the hat sits level on his head. “It will tangle!” he cries. “Ah, I can just brush it out later,” is the flippant response.

Hanzo, on the other hand, is dressed in really casual clothes. He doesn’t humour Jesse by wearing his regular outfit or anything traditional. “You can wear them yourself once we get out of this nightmare. Until then, let me retain some dignity by wearing properly fitting clothes.”

((I’m not keen to start discourse, this is just my opinion, but…

He isn’t! At least, I don’t think he is! I know half the time it’s me complaining about word choice, but if we use brainwashed in a very literal way (for example, how Amélie Lacroix was brainwashed into the Widowmaker), then no, Hanzo was never brainwashed.

Manipulated is my word of choice, possibly along with coerced, if I’m being generous.

That, to me, describes the way the Shimada clan’s elders convinced him Genji’s attitude was detrimental enough to the business that he had to be killed. Not disowned, not exiled, but completely eliminated.

And it doesn’t treat Hanzo like a fragile, misguided, lost young man who didn’t know any better. It shows him to be the heartless, traitorous monster you’d have to be to kill your own brother in cold blood for what was essentially no justifiable reason. Hanzo doesn’t deserve sympathy. He deserves accountability, turmoil, and ultimately the huge struggle it’ll take to redeem and forgive himself.
