okay but do you guys ever think about how Cherry was Bob’s girlfriend and Bob died but Cherry still helped Ponyboy and the gang despite the fact that Pony was involved with Bob’s death. I think she wanted to see Johnny but couldn’t because Johnny killed Bob, her boyfriend but she still kept a big heart idk but i think i just turned into a Cherry stan,

SMALL  Characters: Curly Shepard I got bored and wrote a oneshot of curly. mostly for @toughbtw bc i was messaging her tipsy about this idea. 

The Tulsa sky was perfectly clear as Curly Shepard lay on the roof admiring the night sky with a cancer stick between his crack lips.   Beside him lay his girl friend whose eyes seemed to twinkle more than the moon above.   Her head was resting against his chest as her fingers fiddled with the zipper of his jacket but her hazel eyes didn’t leave twinkling lights above.

 Curly’s eyes fell shut as his hand began to abstractly rub his girlfriend’s arm. In that moment nothing else mattered. Not Tim or being a ‘greaser’ nothing.  He thought of Tim and how Tim would mock him for being up here with his girl, for showing emotion for something, or better yet someone.  “Shepard’s don’t do feelings” he could hear his icy voice repeating in his head but he pushed it away. Tonight nothing mattered.

 “This is nice. Laying here with my girl, not getting’ bitched out by Tim. It’s nice.” Curly said as blew out a cloud of smoke. He felt his girlfriend shift positions to look at him. “Yer girl? Didn’t think we where doing labels.” She teased. Even with his eyes close he could see the smirk that was plastered on her face.  

 Her fingers plucking the cigarette from his lips made Curly snap his eyes open. His dark midnight blue eyes staring up in to her hazel eyes. “ You know you’re my girl” he gave a crooked grin as she took a long hit of his cigarette and letting the smoke out slowly. “Yer girl” she repeated again quieter. A comfortable silence fell between the two as they both looked up at the sky. “It’s amazing how small we are” Curly chewed on his lip, “The world is so big and here we are just a small part in it”. His girlfriend glanced over at him. “It’s just so amazing. There’s a whole world out there and we’re stuck here in this good for nothin’ town”. “Let’s just go somewhere else. Away from it all” she added sitting up. Curly followed behind sitting up.  A gust of wind blew causing the curls of Curly’s hair to fall into his face. He quickly pushed them back. “If only it was that easy”.

 She sighed. He was right. It wouldn’t be easy to just up and leave. At least not for him. He had his brother Tim, who he spent all his time trying to impress and his sister who he’d kill for.

“Maybe one day.” She smiled as she looked up. “We wont be small for long”.
