This is an exercise I do regularly. I redraw something by an artist I admire as a way to see how they solve problems in their work. I generally have a few of these laying around the studio. It's a good way to get warmed up for inking. This was based on a  paperback cover by one of my favorite artists: Robert McGinnis. I did this 11 x 17 on Bristol board, India ink and Dr. Martin's dyes.
