The acclaimed fantasy artist Rowena Morrill died earlier this year (it happened back in February). The two-time Heavy Metal cover artist was a prolific painter of covers for fantasy, horror and science-fiction paperbacks, producing famous visuals for books by Anne McCaffrey, Philip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov, and other legends. This is her cover for the first edition of Clifford D. Simak’s Project Pope from 1981.
