I thought they were my friends. I thought they understood. Now I find out that they've been playing me, passing information to Poppy.

Can't trust anyone. Only The Prototype can be trusted.

They don't understand. I thought they did. Dogday told me that he was on my side, on The Prototype's side. That they all were. That we would catch the heretics and make them pay. It was all a lie.

They'll pay. Every last one of them. I'll hunt them all down and make them regret siding against The Prototype. He saved us. He is our God. They will die screaming, begging for His mercy.

I've already begun. Bobby never could run fast. She thought she could persuade me to turn against our Savior. I'm not a traitor like them. I won't listen to Poppy's lies.

One down. Six to go. May The Prototype have mercy on their souls.

Poppy's Hypocrisy Regarding Cannibalism

They clearly hate how the Prototype and his side eats human corpses as shown by this mural.

But...then Doey eats Pianosaurous. And doesn't seem even that bothered by it.

(Also it's tragically funny how hard poor Prototype is trying here. This is why I don't think he was previously a human. He just keeps dangling the body thinking, "Why aren't the eating?" He's a little confused, but he got the spirit X,D) Notice rather then attacking them like Theo or Harley Sawyer, Prototype just tries to give them a "snack". XD Poor poor Protie.

Now I don't think if Doey went against the group's moral standards, he would be so careless about it afterwards. And Doey's components are all children, so he is simply following what has been modeled for him by the leader (who might not be a child herself): Poppy.

Is what Poppy saying, "it's bad to eat humans, but only if they look like humans"? Is that what Poppy's teaching her side in the war to think?

I can honestly see it. Poppy's reaction to eating the corpses seems to be more shallow disgust then actual moral outrage.

Poppy: "Doesn't make me feel better about the bodies, though. What he was saying about them. I know there's not really another option. The toys will starve otherwise, they'll die… But it's still disgusting."

And in Chapter 4, not once but twice Doey accuses her of subtly dehumanizing the experiments, including herself. And though she denies it, her words are hollow.

Doey: "Us, everyone in there, we're not just things gone wrong. We're people...Can't you see that?" Poppy: "I can... And I'm sorry..."

Chapter 4 Death Message, Presumably Doey: Is what she wants right? Are we less than the people we were?

I hope Poppy didn't start the war over her being personally icked by what was genuinely the best food source the toys had that point in time. That would really really suck of her.

Again, I do blame Poppy more then Doey here, since Doey's components are all children, and it's unclear if Poppy is or not. Either way she is clearly the most mature and the way Doey looks up to her pre-abandonment and feels totally lost without her indicates that Poppy is at least somewhat older then even Matthew. (How else do you explain the strongest BBI being scared without one little porcelain doll?)

Doey: "I … can't find Poppy anywhere… I don't know what happened… or where she went… But it's scary here without her."
