Frank misuses memes for the sake of promoting toy zone and it makes Lex cringe so hard

This is more than just a headcanon, this is canon.

- He thinks he's so cool, and hip, and young.

- Lex is dying inside

- Because it's cringy

- But like so cringy it's laughable.

- She can't believe she's associated with this man.

- She kinda loves and hates it equal amounts.

- Ethan has to stop visiting her at work

- Because one time he was laughing so hard he actually started into a coughing fit.

- And that was not good.

- It's not like Frank even uses the recent or relevant memes...

- He commonly uses the 'I haz cheezburger' cat meme but replaces 'cheezeburger' with the toy he's trying to promote and adds 'do you?' to the bottom.

- Those ones make Lex audibly groan.

- Because why?

- Why would he do that to her?

- He once tried to use Charlie the Unicorn to promote his unicorn toys.

- It was very clear he had never seen Charlie the Unicorn.

- Lex saw that one and did a double take

- But she didn't tell him

- Because why? Why ruin it?

- Listen, Lex lives for the chaos these memes create.

- She thrives on it

- It's her and the kids' inside joke.

- It's why they like her enough to tell her to 'keep the change'

- Which adds up over time.

- But yeah, it's cringy. And such a Frank move.

The way I was wheezing at this mental image-

hc: Ethan pranks Lex by telling Toy Zone customers the most ridiculous phrases he comes up with would get them free stuff at the counter. Shit's actually not free, he just wants to make Lex laugh

Oh this is definitely something he does. 

- It all started when Lex first got the job

- She would always complain about how boring it was, or whine about how annoying the kids were. 

- She hated it, but it was a good-paying job, and... she and Hannah needed that. 

- And Ethan hated seeing her so unhappy. 

- Because she’s his girl and his girl deserves the best. 

- So one day, he’s waiting to surprise her after work. 

- And he can see her scowling and grumbling through the window. 

- And then he sees this kid- maybe eight- heading into the store with a ten dollar bill. 

- The kid is wearing a Power Ranger’s shirt

- So Ethan just jokingly tells him to say “Power Rangers Go!” to the brunette and she’ll give him a free Power Rangers toy. 

- And he watches Lex’s face and the confusion as the kid does it. 

- He thinks he’s gotten away with this genius prank

- Until the kid points right at him. 

- And at that, Lex smirks, and starts to laugh. 

- She thanks him for it when she’s off her shift. 

- And so he keeps doing it

- Whenever he’s around the store. 

- And the phrases just keep getting more and more ridiculous

- Lots of phrases from things that were popular when they were kids. 

- Like “Zoo-wee-mama!” from Diary of a Wimpy Kid

- Or “yo mama” jokes.

- And they’re both just pissing themselves. 

- When Frank finds out he nearly fires her. 

- But hey, she’s been much better with customers since it started. 

- The kids are starting to like her. 

- So why not let it keep going?

- It almost makes Lex like her job. Almost.
