If Rachael Lillis were alive today, she’d be turning 57. It’s still absolutely devastating to me that she passed away. As someone who got into Pokémon shortly before the height of Pokémania, her voice played a very important role in my upbringing.
She also voiced Martina in Slayers, whom sounds like a Misty/Jessie hybrid.
It’s also the one year anniversary of James Carter Cathcart’s passing. I loved him as Gary, he voiced that character so excellently and gave him so much personality. Gary is actually one of my favorite characters because of this.
I still have difficulty seeing him as James, Meowth, and Professor Oak though- considering he took those roles at the beginning of season 9.
He was also incredible in the Slayers anime, as he voiced a multitude of characters and really showcased more of his talents.
R.I.P to these two legends.
