trans joy is so nice. first haircuts and first binders. shopping for clothes and feeling comfortable. looking in the mirror and feeling peace, not panic. a list of names in the notes app. "can you try using these pronouns for me? i think i like them more." other trans people who just get it. "this song/media/work of art is my gender" (no elaboration). getting gendered correctly. great surgery results and hormone updates. t4t couples. old trans people. pointing out the colors pink blue and white everywhere you go. all good stuff

Stop leaving queer BIPOC, especially trans BIPOC, out of your Pride posts and positivity posts!! QPOC are the reason we have Pride in the first place, and to just forget them like this is simply inexcusable. They are the backbone of our community. They are the reason we have rights. They have carried this community so far and for so long, and that deserves recognition. Show queer and trans BIPOC the respect, love, and support they deserve! They are a beautiful and diverse part of our overall community, and they will not be erased!

“difficult roads lead to beautiful destinations”

hi, it’s been awhile lol ‘struggle’ has been a part of my daily vocabulary for months now.

i’ve struggled to smile, struggled to get back on hormones, struggled to continue being a positive and supportive force as a partner, the list could honestly go on and on.

but today was a good day. from a morning bath to a affirmative message written on the fridge to instacarting in surprisingly great weather to a quick date at a new coffee shop. my girlfriend really made it easy to smile today 💙

i have a lot left on my list for my anxious brain to feel ‘comfortable’ again but today was a great reminder that i am loved, i am handsome, i am loving, and that i’m enough.

it’s been hard to say the least, but struggling makes all the small things matter the most.

whether you have a valentine or not, i just want this to be a little reminder to be easy on yourself, take a deep breath, you’re loved, and you’re a unique part of this world that doesn’t go unnoticed.

i hope y’all can soon say: it was an easy day to smile 🥰
