It is the sway of their dresses in the summer trance- light, their bare calves already far-gone in green. What songs will they follow? Whatever the wood warbles, whatever storm or harm the border promises, whatever calm. Let them go. Let them go traceless through the high grass and into the willow- blur, traceless across the lean blue glint of the river, to the long dark bodies of the conifers, and over the welcoming threshold of nightfall.

We challenged ourselves to add color and pattern to our retail design. And then we took it a step further and asked our fabricator to curve our checkout counter. Curved islands and cabinetry are now a hot trend and there are a lot of designers looking for ways to build radius ends into their projects. // So how did we do it? We built the base and wrapped it with a fun laminate @wilsonart pattern named #indigoshibori Laminate is durable and easy to work with. The pattern adds a bit of organic whimsy to the boutique as well. Using laminate allowed us to create curves in our cash wrap stand. // The countertop of our cash wrap is also a Wilsonart laminate called #traceless It's matte finish was so appealing for the surface of the counter where fingerprints are bound to wear the surface. The really brilliant part of this design is that we miter-folded the edges so that the pesky dark line of the backer material doesn't show. Did you know you miter fold laminate? Yes - a bit tricky on a curve, but our fabricator did an excellent job. More curves please!
