A Funny Thing Happened on the Way from the Supermarket -- @tracksuitvizard

Yuzu hefted the plastic shopping basket she carried in her left hand and glanced down at the list she held in her right. Her shopping for the weekend was almost done, and she tucked the shopping list into the pocket of her ivory sweater before picking up a head of lettuce, the final item on the list.

She went up to the cashier and paid for her ingredients, smiling at the other's 'Have a nice day' and replying with one of her own. She took a deep breath and stepped outside into the cool air, glancing up at the graying sky worriedly. "Oh dear. I didn't think to bring an umbrella. I hope it doesn't rain on me," she muttered as she turned down a side street to take a shortcut home.

Then the air shuddered around her and a muffled screech filtered into her brain. She gasped and looked around in panic. A monstrous figure rose up from behind a building and fixed empty eyes on the young Kurosaki. Yuzu was frozen in fear for a moment, and then it screeched again and the spell was broken. She dropped her shopping bags, produce and jars spilling onto the pavement, turned, and ran as fast as she could.
