you know i dont have an answer for this but the first thing that popped into my head was jasper and happiness but slightly more realistically i would have liked to see raven and wells at least slightly interact? ummmm i’m really blanking on this? lmao
🔎 small scene I like that has POWER
one that i gif a whole lot is clarke glaring in 3x02 its not exactly a small scene but damn the P O W E R.
if we want to get bellarke about it then a small underrated scene is at the end of 4x01 when bell says okay princess what now. that scene sets the entire vibe for the season when you think about it all the really major decisions are clarke’s with bellamy but it just shifts everything for that whole season really
This fic is based off one of my favorite Gilmore Girls episode “Raincoats and Recipes”. Clarke and Raven own the “Delinquents Inn” together and they are doing a test run before they officially open. Monty works for them. Clarke and Bellamy wonder where they stand with each other. Madi is Clarke's daughter.
Location: Delinquents Inn
The scene starts with Clarke and Monty walking down the stairs to the dining room.
Monty: I think we got every room assigned for the test run.
Clarke: Good. Tell me what you got.
Monty: Abby and Kane are in room 1, Octavia and Lincoln are in room 2, Niylah is in room 3, Raven is in room 5, and--
Clarke: What happened to room 4?
Monty: It's taken.
Clarke: By who?
Monty: A friend.
Clarke: Do I know this friend?
Monty: Maybe.
Clarke: Monty, you can't bring your dog.
Monty: Why?
Clarke: Because it's a inn. For people not pets.
Clarke notices Jasper and Maya sitting by the fireplace. The phone rings.
Clarke: Monty, can you get that?
Monty: (pouts) No.
Clarke: I think I hear the unemployment line calling your name
Monty: Fine.
Clarke: Thank you. You're a peach.
Monty walks over to the reception desk while Clarke heads over to Jasper and Maya.
Clarke: What are you guys doing here?
Jasper: I'm just finished putting wood in all the rooms.
Clarke: Thanks Jasper.
Jasper: Where should I put the rest?
Clarke: Outside. Monty can show you after he's done with a call.
Jasper: Outside? Where it rains and snows. And dogs pee. You really need to protect your wood.
Clarke: We have protection. It's called a tarp. The wood will be fine outside.
Jasper leaves.
Maya: Clarke, the inn looks wonderful. When does it open?
Clarke: Thank you Maya. It will open in a couple of weeks. But we are having a test run this weekend. We just had a cancellation. You and Jasper should come.
Maya: Wow, thank you so much. We would love to come. And Jasper would feel better about checking up on the wood.
Clarke: Jasper’s really lucky to have found you.
Location: Bellamy’s Diner
Bellamy is standing behind the counter while Octavia walks in.
Bellamy: What are you doing here?
Octavia: Nice to see you too bro.
Bellamy: I meant, why aren't you on your honeymoon?
Octavia: Lincoln and I decided to stay until after Clarke's test run for the inn.
Bellamy: Why?
Octavia: Why not? She's my future sister-in-law.
Bellamy: Wait, what?
Octavia: I saw the way you were looking at each other at my wedding. How long have you been dating? (hits Bellamy) And why didn't you tell me?
Bellamy: We’re not dating.
Octavia: Friends don't look at each other like that.
Bellamy: Like what?
Octavia: Like you wanted to jump each other.
Bellamy: Oh, god.
Octavia: Do you want something more with Clarke?
Bellamy: I don't know. Maybe. It's complicated.
Octavia: You need to make a move.
Bellamy: I already am.
Octavia: You are?
Bellamy walks away.
Octavia: (screams) Not what I meant.
Location: Delinquents Inn Kitchen
Clarke walks in as Raven is panicking.
Clarke: What's wrong now?
Raven: We have great workers.
Clarke: And that's a problem?
Raven: I hired more people than we can afford.
Clarke: Why would you do that?
Raven: Because people suck. They are either lazy or underachieving.
Clarke: Wow, you're a people person.
Raven: I thought if I hired more and some quit or got fired, we would still have the amount we need.
Clarke: And?
Raven: They're perfect. Every stinkin one of them.
Clarke: You're going to have to fire some of them.
Raven: Can't you fire them? You are so much better at pissing people off than I am.
Clarke: Hey.
Raven: It's the truth.
Clarke: Still hurts through. (notices Monty walking in) Speaking of people I piss off.
Monty: What?
Clarke: Jasper and Maya will be in room 4.
Monty: You suck!
Clarke: I know. Are all the rooms booked now?
Monty: Yes. You and Madi are in room 6. Bellamy is in room 7.
Clarke: Bellamy?
Monty: Yes.
Clarke: He's coming?
Monty: You don't want him to?
Clarke: I want him. To come. I mean I didn't know he was coming to the test run but I'm glad he's coming. So, room 7. Lucky 7. Getting lucky. (Monty stares at her) So Bellamy’s coming solo right? (Monty nods his head) Good, great, wonderful.
Clarke walks into a wall.
Clarke: I'm ok.
Clarke leaves.
Monty: What the hell was that?
Raven: I don't know.
Location: Bellamy’s Diner.
Clarke is sitting at a table staring at Bellamy. Madi walks in and sits down next to Clarke.
Madi: Why are you staring at Bellamy?
Bellamy starts walking over to Clarke and Madi.
Clarke: Shh. Pay attention.
Madi: To what?
Clarke: To how Bellamy looks at me differently.
Bellamy: You want coffee?
Clarke: Yes, I love coffee. Coffee coffee coffee. Madi will have coffee too.
Bellamy: Ok. Do you need a minute to order?
Clarke: Yes.
Bellamy: I'll be back.
Madi: That was interesting.
Clarke: See, he looked at me different.
Madi: I was talking about you.
Clarke: What? How could you possibly not see it?
Madi: He looked annoyed. He always looks annoyed.
Clarke grabs Madi’s hand and drags her outside. Bellamy looks out the window and smiles.
Location: Outside
Madi: What's your problem?
Clarke: I think Bellamy and I are dating.
Madi: Since when?
Clarke: Last week. I went with him to Octavia’s wedding. We had a great time. We talked, we laughed, we ate and we danced.
Madi: Danced?
Clarke: We slow danced.
Madi: Anything else?
Clarke: After the wedding, he walked me home. Then out of nowhere, he asked me to a movie.
Madi: What kind of movie? A comedy, horror, rom com?
Clarke: He didn't specify.
Madi: Did you say yes?
Clarke: Yes. But maybe he didn't think of it as a dating thing, but maybe as two friends, two bros seeing a movie.
Madi: Sounds like a date to me.
Clarke: Well, there was that moment.
Madi: There was a moment?
Clarke: I think there was a moment. I don't know. Maybe this was a innocent situation and I'm just over thinking nothing. Let's go back in. Be cool. Don't embarrassed me.
Madi: I'm not the person you should be telling this to but ok.
They reenter the diner and walk back to their table. Bellamy approaches them.
Bellamy: You're ok?
Clarke: Yes.
Clarke leans on the table and knocks everything off.
Bellamy sighs and walks away.
Madi: I think that went well.
Clarke sinks into her chair.
Location: Bellamy's Diner (later that day)
Bellamy is serving customers as Jasper walks in and heads to Bellamy's apartment above the diner.
Bellamy: Jasper what are you doing?
Bellamy follows him. He finds Jasper sitting on his couch reading a magazine.
Bellamy: Jasper get out.
Jasper: I picture your apartment to be bigger.
Bellamy: Stop picturing my apartment and get out.
Jasper: I need a favor.
Bellamy: I'm working.
Jasper: Please.
Bellamy: Fine, make it quick.
Jasper: You know how the test run is tomorrow, right?
Bellamy: Yes?
Jasper: It will be the first time Maya and I will sleep together.
Bellamy: I don't need to hear this.
Jasper: I mean, we have sex, lots and lots of sex.
Bellamy: I really don't need to hear this.
Jasper: But afterwards she goes home.
Bellamy: You actually never slept in the same bed together. Why?
Jasper: I have night terrors.
Bellamy: Oh. What's that?
Jasper: I freak out at bedtime. After a couple hours of sleeping, I wake up in fear.
Bellamy: Of what?
Jasper: Ninjas. Two nights I had this feeling that they were in my house.
Bellamy: Were they?
Jasper: The things with ninjas are that they are too fast too see. Another time I thought there was a bomb.
Bellamy: The ninjas used bombs?
Jasper: No, assassins. I threw the bomb in the bathroom. Then I climb out my window and hid on the roof completely naked.
Bellamy: Oh, god.
Jasper: That's the worst part of night terrors. I always end up naked. I'm either running down the street naked, swimming in a pool naked, and one time I ended up in a different state naked.
Bellamy: How?
Jasper: Took a bus.
Bellamy: So, why are you telling me this?
Jasper: Maya. I never told her that I love her yet. I don't want to attack her before I say I love her.
Bellamy: What am I supposed to do?
Jasper: I called Monty and moved my room next to yours. So if you hear anything unusual, you can barge right in and stop me from accidentally attacking Maya.
Bellamy: I don't know Jasper.
Jasper: Please!
Bellamy: (sighs) Fine.
Jasper: Thank you! Thank you! But just don't touch my bottom.
Bellamy: You don't have to worry about that. And please never say bottom again.
Location: Delinquents Inn Front desk (Test Run Day)
Clarke is on the phone when Raven enters. Madi is sweeping the floor. Clarke hangs up.
Raven: Why doesn't any of my workers suck?
Madi: What?
Clarke: Raven hired too many workers.
Raven: A couple of them were supposed to suck. Isn't there some kind of saying, like 1 in 3 people suck. If you look to the left and look to the right and no one sucks, that means it's you.
Clarke: Honey, you're rambling again. And no one says that.
Madi: And there's still plenty of time for them to suck. They could all suck.
Raven: Thank you Madi. I can only hope.
Monty: (on walkie talkie) Guests are arriving.
Clarke: Let's go.
Clarke, Raven and Madi walk outside.
Location: Outside
The guest are greeted by Clarke and the rest of the staff. Jasper walks up to Clarke.
Clarke: Hi, Jasper. Thank you for coming. Where's Maya?
Jasper: She's playing with the horses. Is Bellamy here?
Clarke: No.
Jasper: He will be here before I go to sleep, right?
Clarke: I don't know Jasper. Why are you asking?
Jasper: It's a man thing.
Jasper walks away.
Location: Delinquents Inn Front desk
Clarke: Thank you for coming Niylah. Here's your key. Enjoy your stay.
Niylah: Thank you. I'm sure that I'll love everything. I'll have no complaints.
Clarke: No, this weekend is supposed to be working out any problems that we might have so it doesn't happen again when we open.
Niylah: I promise I'll be a bitch.
Clarke: Thank you. That's all I'm asking.
Echo walks in.
Echo: I already found three things I hate about this place.
Clarke: I can always count on you Echo.
Niylah and Echo leave. Madi enters.
Madi: So far everything is going smoothly.
Clarke: We just started but yeah. What could possibly go wrong?
Bellamy walks in the front door with a bouquet of flowers. Clarke sees him and starts to fix her hair.
Madi: What are you doing?
Clarke: I have to look nice for our guests.
Madi: You didn't fix your hair when the other guests arrived.
Clarke: Shut up.
Clarke walks over to Bellamy.
Clarke: I'm so glad you came.
Bellamy: I rsvp.
Clarke: You did?
Bellamy: (hands her the flowers) These are for you. Congratulations on the inn. It looks amazing.
Clarke: You look beautiful. I mean the flowers look beautiful. I mean thank you for the flowers. Let's check you out, I mean in. To your room.
Bellamy: Is everything alright?
Clarke: Yes. Nothing’s wrong here.
Clarke turns toward the front desk and walks into the wall.
Bellamy: Clarke, are you okay?
Clarke: I'm fine. It's a new game I invented called “how many times can I hit my head on the wall”. So far I'm the champion. (throws her hands in the air) Yay!! Madi’s turn is next.
Madi: I'm good.
Bellamy: Are you sure you're fine?
Clarke: Yes. (hands him a key) Here's your key. See you later.
Bellamy nods and walks away. Madi laughs.
Clarke: Not a word.
Clarke smells her flowers and smiles.
Location: Dining Room
Bellamy, Murphy, Raven, Monty, Niylah, Echo, Jasper and Maya are sitting around a large table. There is a deck of cards on the table. Bellamy and Murphy are the only two playing. They look at each other intensely. They each raise a eyebrow trying to psych each other out.
Bellamy: Do you have a 5?
Murphy: Go Fish!
Bellamy: (throws his cards on the table) Damn!!
Raven: That was the most intense game of Go Fish I've ever seen.
Maya: (turns to Jasper) I'm tired. Let's go to bed.
Jasper: (loudly) Let's go to bed upstairs!! (winks at Bellamy)
Maya and Jasper heads upstairs.
Murphy: I think your boyfriend wanted you to go up with them.
Bellamy: Shut up.
Clarke appears.
Clarke: How is everything going?
Bellamy: Great. Just great.
They smile at each other.
Murphy: I have some complaints.
Clarke and Bellamy ignore Murphy and continue to stare at each other.
Clarke: Well, I'm glad that everything is going great. See you later.
Clarke walks away but still continues to stare at Bellamy. She bumps into one of the waiters and knocks everything down.
Waiter: Are you okay?
Clarke: Define okay.
Location: Lobby
Clarke heads to the front desk when she sees Finn standing in the doorway.
Clarke: Finn, what are you doing here?
Finn: I'm here to see you. Nice place.
Clarke: You need to go.
Finn: I want to get back together. I'm nothing without you.
Clarke: Finn, no. We are over.
Finn: Give me five minutes to change your mind.
Clarke: I don't have five minutes. And I don't want to change my mind. In case you haven't noticed, I'm working right now.
Finn: Let me booked a room.
Clarke: We have no rooms. We are completely full.
Location: Dining room
Bellamy and Raven are the only two people left at the table. Bellamy turns around and sees that Clarke is talking to a guy.
Bellamy: Raven, who's that?
Raven: (not looking up from her book) Who?
Bellamy: That guy Clarke's talking to?
Raven: That's Finn Collins. He was Clarke's boyfriend.
Bellamy: I can't picture Clarke dating a guy like him.
Raven: Who do you picture Clarke dating? You?
Bellamy starts to blush.
Bellamy: No, I mean, I don't know what I mean. Are they still dating?
Raven: I thought they broke up, but he's here now, so maybe they got back together.
Bellamy stares at Clarke and Finn.
Location: Lobby
Finn: I'm not leaving until I talk to you.
Clarke: Then you'll be here a long time.
Finn: I can wait.
Finn sits down in one of the chairs and picks up a magazine. Clarke glares at him and heads to the front desk. Luke walks in from the dining room. Finn turns around.
Bellamy: How you doing?
Finn: Good. You?
Bellamy: Good. I'm Bellamy Blake.
Finn: I'm Finn Collins.
Bellamy: Finn Collins. Finn Collins. Where did I hear that name before?
Finn: I'm a friend of Clarke's.
Bellamy: So am I. I’ve known her a long time. She's very important to me. Where do you know her from?
Finn: She's my girlfriend.
Bellamy: Girlfriend?
Finn: Yes. For the past couple months.
Bellamy: I thought you broke up
Finn: We did. But we are working it out now. She's great, I'm great, we're great.
Bellamy: (tightens his fist) Great. I'm so happy for you two.
Finn: Me too. It was nice meeting you.
Bellamy: Yeah.
Finn leaves. Bellamy sits in the chair for couple minutes trying to go over the information he just received. He gets up and starts pacing back and forth a couple times. Then he heads to the front door and heads out to the porch. Clarke follows him.
Clarke: Where are you going?
Bellamy: Am I an idiot?
Clarke: No. Why would you ask that?
Bellamy: Was my intentions not clear enough?
Clarke: Intentions?
Bellamy: Last week after Octavia’s wedding, I walked you home. I asked you to see a movie with me.
Clarke: I remembered.
Bellamy: And then there was a moment between us. I don't know if it meant anything to you.
Clarke: It did. It does.
Bellamy: And then I dressed up and brought you your favorite flowers.
Clarke: They are beautiful. I love them.
Bellamy: Then I don't understand why you're getting back together with Finn. I thought-
Clarke: Who said I was back together with Finn?
Bellamy: Finn. He was gloating about how great you two were.
Clarke: We are not back together. I'll deal with him later.
Bellamy: So, you're not dating him?
Clarke: Nope. I'm single.
Bellamy smiles.
Bellamy: I've never been good with relationships. Or expressing my feelings. Maybe because I haven't found the right person yet. But….
Clarke: But what?
Bellamy steps closer to Clarke while she steps backwards.
Clarke: What are you doing?
Bellamy: Will you just stay still?
Bellamy pulls Clarke in closer. They stare in each other eyes. Bellamy leans down and passionately kisses Clarke. She puts her arms around him. They separate.
Bellamy: I really want to be in a relationship with you.
Clarke smiles. She steps forward and Bellamy steps back.
Bellamy: What are you doing?
Clarke: Will you just stay still?
Clarke pulls Bellamy to her and kisses him. Her hands are in his hair. The kiss is more intense than the first. They separate. Both are flustered.
Clarke: Guess what?
Bellamy: What?
Clarke: I really want to be in a relationship with you too.
They both smile. They lean in for another kiss but stop when they hear screaming. Jasper comes running down the stairs with no clothes and a pillow covering the lower region of his body. Jasper runs outside past Bellamy and Clarke.
Clarke: Was that Jasper?
Bellamy: Shit. I need to go. But I would like to continue what we were doing before we were interrupted.
Clarke: Me too.
Bellamy: Good.
Bellamy starts chasing Jasper. Clarke smiles and walks back into the inn.
tracylorde a réagi à votre billet “You know I don’t think Bellamy was OOC in last episode, but one thing...”
That line really grated me on my rewatch. I agree he's not OOC but the way that dialogue was phrased didn't work for me at all.
The dialogues were not great in this episode. Like he sounded like a petulant teenager when he shouted “you don’t even know her !!!!!!”, it was embarrassing to watch. The episode wasn’t bad at all, but ... yeah some things in the writing obviously did not work
Thank you! <3 (ps I’m sorry this was so long I got carried away, also I apologise for typos I didn’t edit this)
9. [the way you said “I love you”] when baking chocolate chip cookies.
“Hey.” Clarke smiled as she opened the door. Bellamy stood in front of her in casualclothing and a shopping bag in his arm.
“Hi.” Bellamy replied, stepping inside herapartment when she moved to the side.
“Thank you so much for helpingme,” she said over her shoulder as she walked into the kitchen. “You know I’m hopeless as baking.” He chuckled and set the bag down on thecounter.
When Clarke had volunteered tobake cookies for the hospital’s bake sale, she hadn’t really thought the ideathrough. She refused to buy cookies andplay them off as her own, but she couldn’t bake to save her life.
Luckily, she had a best friend whowas decent at baking, and was willing to spare a few hours on a Sunday to helpher.
“Yeah,” he said as he pulled out ingredientsfrom the bag. “We don’t want a repeat ofthe gingerbread you tried to make at Christmas.” He smirked and she groaned, hitting hisshoulder lightly.
After washing their hands, theygot started on baking.
“I thought we’d be best starting youoff on something simple,” he explained and she rolled her eyes. “We’re just doing chocolate chip cookies.”
“Okay.” She said, nodding.
She stole a glance up athim. His tongue darted out to wet hislips as he measured the ingredients, like it did whenever her concentrated onthe task in front of him. Clarke tried(and failed) not to stare.
Clarke wasn’t sure when shedeveloped feelings for her best friend, ages ago probably. She’d always known he was attractive, sheknew it, he knew it, everyone knew it. Forsuch a long time in their friendship she’d never been attracted to him, butthen something clicked one day when she saw his face creased from laughing hardat something Miller had said and she felt her stomach do a weird flip. Now almost everything he did caused herstomach to do a weird flip, or her heart to flutter in her chest. Like now, his hair was falling in his eyes(he needed it cutting) and all she wanted to do was reach up and brush it outof his face. She was pretty sure she wasin love with her best friend and he had no idea.
Clarke pushed those thoughts away;the bake sale was to raise funds for the children’s oncology department and shedoubted the kids would appreciate her showing up empty handed because she’dbeen drooling over her best friend.
“You okay?” Bellamy asked, turning his head towards her.
Clarke cleared her throat andstarted measuring out the flour for the cookies.
“Yeah.” She replied, and if Bellamy noticed her voicesounded a little strained, he didn’t comment.
***
“We should have bought morechocolate chips.” Bellamy commented witha frown as he poured the packet into the bowl and Clarke started mixing.
“We’d have more if you hadn’teaten half of them.” She grumbled, trying to hide a smile.
“You missed some chocolate by theway,” she pointed out as he dusted the counter with flour.
“What? Where?” He moved past her to stand in front of the microwave to use it as amirror. Clarke laughed as he continuedto rub his face, getting flour all over himself. He scowled at her when he saw there was notchocolate on him. She clutched her sideslaughing.
She opened her eyes and Bellamyhad a mischievous glint in her eyes. Shestopped laughing abruptly and stepped backwards when she realised he was edgingcloser to him.
“Bellamy…” She said in warning. She opened her mouth to say something elsebut before she could say anything a white cloud hit her right in the face.
She spluttered to try and get theflour out of her mouth and wiped it from her eyes.
“Bellamy!” She exclaimed.
“Yes, Clarke?” He asked innocently. She scowled and he laughed as more flour fellinto her face from her hair.
“Oh. It’s on, Blake.” She told him as she reached across thecounter to grab the flour bag.
***
Clarke’s stomach was crampingfrom laughing so much. Flour wasscattered all around her kitchen, the bowl of batter pushed to the side to befinished later. Every time she movedflour fell from someone on her body. Itwas in her hair, up her nose and in all the creases in her clothing. She honestly couldn’t care less, she couldn’tremember the last time she had this much fun.
Clarke edged slowly towards thecorner of the room where Bellamy was trapped. His usually black hair was almost all white, and every time he moved hishead a white halo would appear for a second as the flour fell from hiscurls. Bellamy looked around the smallspace round him, looking for an escape.
“Give it up, Bell,” she said witha grin. “I’ve got you cornered.” His eyes darted down to the bag of flour inher hand and she shook her head. Beforehe could lunge she threw a handful at his chest and giggled as lungedforwards. He grabbed her around themiddle and she shrieked as he laughed. Shewriggled to escape his grasp, but it was no use, Bellamy’s hold was strong.
She stretched her arm out so hecouldn’t reach the flour bag. An ideastruck and she brought the bag above his head. She shot him a smirk and he followed her gaze upwards and spotted thebag.
“Clarke…” He said in warning as she continued to smirkat him.
“Do you give in?” She asked and his eyes widened at her. She shook the bag so a trickle of flour cameout.
“Truce!” He exclaimed and set her down. The flour had barely touched his hair, and itwasn’t like he was already covered in flour.
“Wow Bell, you crumble like acookie.” She snickered and put the bagof flour down.
“Only because I love you.” He said quickly under his breath. If Clarke hadn’t been stood so close shewouldn’t have heard him. Her eyes shotup to his.
“What?” She asked in wonder, searching his face. A slight pink tinge grew up his cheeks underall the flour.
“Uh?” Bellamy reached up to scratch the back of hisneck, a nervous gesture, she knew. Sheraised an eyebrow at him, making him squirm under her gaze.
She stepped closer to him andBellamy’s eyebrows shot up. Not one toback down, Clarke stepped right into his space. Bellamy’s breath hitched and she looked up into his eyes. His deep brown eyes that a moment ago had beenfilled with mirth, were now holding her stare in a serious but confusedexpression.
She tentatively reached up andcupped his cheek, wiping away the residual flour. Bellamy leaned into the contact subconsciouslyand Clarke took that as a good sign. Heopened his mouth as if to say something and but thought better of it and snappedhis mouth shut. Before she could backout, she tentatively reached up on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to hislips. Bellamy didn’t respond at first, and Clarke pulled away slightly her face heating up. At the loss of contact, Bellamy snapped intoaction and wrapped his arms around her middle, pulling her flush against him. He reclaimed her lips with his and kissedher.
When they pulled apart, Bellamystill had his arms around her middle and Clarke had wound her arms up aroundhis neck. Bellamy was practicallybeaming at her, and she was pretty sure her face looked the same.
“I love you too, by the way.” She told him and he grinned again beforekissing her soundly.
“We actually need to do thesecookies.” He told her in between kissesand she giggled against his lips. Shepushed him away and he let out an involuntary whine.
“Come on, Bell,” she smirked as sheunwound herself form his arms and walked back to the forgotten cookiebatter. “These cookies aren’t gonna bakethemselves.” He rolled his eyes andstarted lining the trays with baking paper.
