This poor fish-man is in the middle of a trading side quest.

He saved a fish, got some meat, then gave the meat to a starving man who in turn gave him a gold ring which belonged to a fish princess, and now he’s gotten a trident as a reward for returning the ring.

He doesn’t even realise what he’s gotten himself into.
