I suddenly want to draw Turbo as a Yo-Kai from Yo-Kai Watch after watching some tiktoks but I don't have motivation nor the energy to do so.

But, like, if I remember correctly how yo-kai worked in-universe from when I first watched the anime on Cartoon Network and I was about 10 or 11 maybe, I can see him being a racer when he was alive and got too competitive, too jealous, and crashed him and his rival during a race. Coming back as a vengeful spirit of sorts afterward.

Or he's the manifestation of a racer's jealousy or competitive spirit and either way, he can possess others to become extremely competitive as well, to the point the individual could hurt themselves and others just to win.

His medallion or coin could have him posing on his racecar with a golden trophy in his hands.

What even counts as "body horror", really? Yes yes there's the typical "humans warped beyond comprehension, body parts changed into something alien, becoming unrecognisable as human", but does it count the other way around?

Does it count as body horror to turn an animal, humanoid? It's still warping the body into something alien and unknown to yourself. The animal can no longer be classified as "animal", and many will have to relearn even simple things like walking [4 legs -> 2 legs].

Would animals consider "turning into a human" to be body horror. Why is "being human" a basic prerequisite for something to count as body horror?

Would that make humans the cosmic horror of the animal world, if they could turn something humanoid whenever they feel like it?

I know it's probably a one off but I keep coming back to how SWEET Robert was in last night's episode. It was a TINY scene and he was so lovely. I mean, he does have a lovely side but we RARELY get a scene (unless with Aaron and even then there still some typical Rob comes out) where he’s just entirely nice…!

But he sat down with Nicola with a smile on his face saying “there you are!” all pally and genuine

Then he compliments her and calls her efficient! It’s not even said with a hint of sarcasm or bite!

He LAUGHS then compliments her again and tells her she transformed the office. He then agrees with her business suggestion and listens to her advice.

When she tells him to wish her luck he doesn’t even come back with his usual one-liner about “yeah well you’ll need lucky dealing with that family” or ANYTHING.

I just find it weird and adorable all at the same time. He’s not even this chill with Aaron and he’s in love with Aaron (but they do have their banter because it’s THEM and they both not so secretly love it). I think Nicola just shot right up to the top of my “Give Robert a Friend” list. If he actually listens to her, doesn’t mouth off and think he’s cleverer, doesn’t turn on ‘the charm’ and genuinely appreciates her comments and ideas… she could be so healthy for him. I mean, I know in the past they’ve sniped and shouted and he’s tried out the old casual manipulation on her to return to work but it wasn’t anything she didn’t already want to do and he KNOWS her, knows she’ll want to work.

Rob finds Nicola and Jimmy ridiculous but he’s also amused by them. He doesn’t hate them, doesn’t have any legitimate reason to dislike them, really. He’s Rob so he’ll always be snippy and a little irritated by idiots so Jimmy’s going to rub him up the wrong way and Nicola’s highly strung at times and can be obnoxious but I think he recognises that in himself too. He’s not entirely blind to his own personality (even if some of it is lost on him haha)

So yeah, no idea why I’m rambling but as much as I love the idea of Bernice or Leyla etc being his friend… I’ve never EVER seen him like that with any other character without resorting to type and it was kind of amazing. I hope it’s not just a one-off and that we get some more because they could have something really sweet :)
