Pokemon Violet Team: Quaxly
Similar to my Fuecoco team, I took a lot of time planning out this team before starting, maybe more. I knew for a fact I wanted a Gogoat and Ceruledge on my team, but I had a lot of difficulty settling on the other three. I knew I wanted a poison and ground Pokemon and I wasn't sure if I wanted Fairy or Psychic, and I couldn't use Gardevoir again, so I thought Hatterene would work.
Quaquaval, Gogoat, and Ceruledge were definitely the golden trio of this team. They were the MVPs of this team, and I had the most fun naming them. And the moves were perfect here, I especially loved Bitter Blade and Horn Leech. They were perfect for this playthrough.
Muk and Hippowdon were great too, not as solid as the first three, but still managed to hold their own. Muk was especially good for fighting Ortega, but didn't really stand out after that. Hippowdown had a rough start as a Hippopotas but after it evolved, He was great for the Elite Four against Poppy and even Hassel.
I am a bit disappointed with Hatterene, however. I wanted to use her against Hassel and a few of the Paradox Pokémon, but she wasn't as strong as I thought she would be, fainted more than I would've liked during the battles, but after some healing and getting the chance to terastalize, she managed to get the job done.
Pokémon Violet Team: Fuecoco
Here is my Pokémon Violet team with my starter being Fuecoco
Overall, this was a great team. Hiccups here and there, but they were great, I had difficulty with the Water-Type gym, but I survived. I did a lot of planning when it came to this team, I did a ridiculous amount of research to determine the best team that would handle the three storylines, and would be great for AI Turo's team, and they did not disappoint. Not really much to say about this team.
I really wanted a blue flower Florges, but I had difficulty finding one, and with how difficult finding a Shiny stone would be, I chose to settle with the first one I saw, which was the classic red flower, but it still managed to do great, even as a Floette.
I had some conflicting feelings with Toxtricity, I was annoyed with how long it took to evolve, but I figured it would be worth it, and while I was happy to have one with a Poison Tera Type, there were times I wanted an Electric Tera Type. Also, I know certain natures determine if it gets a low-key or amped form, but I always get confused how that works.
And as mentioned before, I managed to find a shiny Girafarig, which evolved into a shiny Farigiraf.
The final team will be with Quaxly
Pokemon Violet Team: Sprigatito
Here is my team for my first Pokémon Violet playthrough.
You have no idea how excited I was to get a female Sprigatito. And throughout the battles, Meowscarada, Arcanine, and Ampharos were great.
I was hesitant to use Gardevior after my less-than-ideal experience with it from Pokémon Shining Pearl, but I figured maybe this time would be better. And it was, my Gardevior was actually great for this playthrough, still fainted quicker than others, but not as often as it did in Shining Pearl.
Staraptor and Revavroom were my least used Pokémon on my team and Staraptor was disappointing. But when Iron Valiant was destroying my team, Staraptor came through and one-shot it with Fly. Revavroom is cool and was able to help in battles, just not MVP for this team.
Overall, a manageable team, but I could've chosen better. I was a mess against AI Turo, I was not ready for his Paradox Pokemon, I was grateful I had plenty of Max revives.
My idea for my FC if she was in Pokemon Journeys instead of Goh. The idea is that she takes up helping Pokemon in need while Ash goes through the World Coronation. Surprisingly, I had an easier time with her Generation VIII team than with Generation XI...
My Teal Mask Team
This is the Pokémon Team I had for the Teal Mask of the DLC.
I had caught plenty of Pokémon in Kitakami, but these are the main Pokémon I used during the adventure and used in the Academy Ace Tournament.
Though, to be honest, when I needed to fight the 'Loyal' Three and my final fight with Kieran, I had to use my original team because these Pokémon, minus Ogerpon, weren't strong enough and I was too impatient to train them up.
But once all that was resolved, I was able to train them up and enter them in the Academy Ace Tournament and won against Salvatore, Raifort, Arven, and Nemona.
EarthSpark Pokemon Team: Autobots
Made from Pokecharms Trainer Card Maker
Managed to get this done faster than I thought I would.
First off, Optimus was the hardest! It was hard to find good Pokemon for this version, I was thinking of just copying his Prime Team, but that didn't really work for him. I gave him dragonite because its a good pseudo-legendary for him, Falinks and Oranguru because he's the leader, Palafin beacuse that hero pose reminds me of his, and I thought the other two worked best for him.
Bumblebee was easier, I wanted to focus on Bug and Electric types, as well as fast Pokémon since he is a sports car and likes going fast. And of course, he has a Beedrill, since I think all (or at least most) bumblebees should have one. For those who don't agree, just think of it as sort of homage to his first vehicle mode, that he isn't all that fond of remembering.
Elita-1 was the easiest. I wanted to focus mostly on fighting types, since she is a fighter, and she has a passimian as a counter to Optimus' Oranguru, since she is technically his second in command. She also mentions she likes to enjoy the beauty of earth, so Milotic and Florges is here. And I just that Iron Valiant was perfect for her, so I had to give her one, its typing as a Fairy/Fighting type just seems perfect for Elita-1 if she was a Pokémon.
Hope you all like them!
