In our quest to inspire taste exploration, one of the members of Coffee Potluck, Kris Wu, is leading the pack on bringing new partners to share in the coffee scene. Not only is Coffee Potluck meant to bring people together, but it's a place to challenge ideas and try new things.
Our next event Brews |&| Beats is simply all of these things. Creative, curated, inspired, and coffee-related (because let's not forget, this is our first love). BUT, if coffee is not your thing, these cocktails will have you reeling in disbelief or dancing your happy dance - they're really good!
This upcoming event is a combination of rare birds; we've received two green coffees (unroasted fresh crop) from Swiss Water Coffee in Burnaby BC, it has been roasted here in town by Andrew Stock (another Coffee Potluck member); and it will be going into five drinks along the coffee spectrum. Some taste like coffee, like "Not Another Feckin' Irish Coffee" and others, simply don't (-just see "Coffee Pale Ale", which will be cold brewed coffee, vodka, gin and hop tincture.) This one's for the beer drinker in y'all!
Five drinks in total will be served, some fuelled by the local bitters, Bittered Sling. All of these drinks will be sipped and enjoyed to the live beats spun by DJ Silence, founder of Chapel Sound Collective, and Devon Towler.
We welcome you to come, surprise yourself in the safest and most pleasant of places - it's reminiscent of a living room of sorts; good company, café, bar, and lounge intersect.

Lastly, you will be sent home with only the buzz of good company, and bit of drowsiness on your eyelids as the coffee is without caffeine! I don't know what decaf 'sounds' like, but if it had a sound it would sound like this evening #decafsounds.
