Parkour was formally recognised as a sport in the uk today, hopefully opening many doors and seeing the steady progression of the discipline. The more parkour training events that I photograph, the more I seem to enjoy spending time with those nearer the beginning their parkour journey. The learning curve is incredibly steep and I can see the progression over the course of the day - and occasionally I can see it in my photographs too. I find it immensely rewarding to give new practitioners imagery that they can be proud of. In many ways it's more of a challenge than photographing advanced practitioners, but it's a challenge that I enjoy, and I feel very much a part of their experience. .
