I decided for a short story collection for a few reasons:

easier to read for a long series

faster to write for me with other big WIPs hanging around

we do speedrun slowburn by only showing the highlights

I wrote CuriousCat prompts for many anon requests, like "first kiss", "first time", etc. and especially with Twitter being... like it is, they will get lost. I want to collect all of these and put them into one lovely fic series. Written properly, as stories, not just ideas, and giving them the stage they deserve :'3
