Trancers (1984) Imagine making a pulpy sci-fi action movie set in LA with a time traveling gritty hero, and Terminator gets released 2 weeks before you do... Brutal. This film sold me pretty much 5 minutes in, Jack Deth (yes that's his actual name, and it is pronounced death) is a noir detective from the 23rd century who possesses his ancestor in the year 1985 to prevent the leader of psychic death cult from retroactively killing the future's leaders and toppling the government. Hell yeah I'm in. it for sure shows it age in some bits, but overall was a very good time, also how the fuck did he do that? I've never seen someone strike a match of their teeth that's fucking nuts. 3.5 / 5, I'm glad Coca-Cola and Marlboro Reds still exist 200 years later.
