— he cries whenever he gets anything on the couch and it takes a lot to calm him down

— he refuses to sit in Akaashi’s lap unless he has a blanket or a towel, because he doesn’t want to mess up Akaashi’s pants and make him mad ( he would never be mad at Bokuto though, Bokuto is just overthinking )

— he eats only sweets and it’s the only time akaashi will let it slide

— he watches cartoons all day

— he’s more sensitive than usual and ends up crying over a lot of things that he wouldn’t cry about before

— he feels extra little and needs bottles

— Apple juice makes him feel better and helps him relax

— he gets very clingy and follows Akaashi around to stay with him at all times

— Akaashi usually works from home during these times, knowing bokuto is in pain and will get very upset without him around

— his cramps are really bad, so of course he needs snuggles to feel better

— Akaashi also enjoys spoiling him more than usual and gets him more chewy necklaces and toys to play with to distract him

— he gets really nervous about taking any sort of pain relief medicine ( mostly because he hates swallowing pills ) so he needs all the distractions he can

— he definitely feels very dysphoric, but Akaashi always hypes him up and purposefully uses all the masculine terms he can

I LOVE it when there’s a trope in fics (also in irl but it doesn’t happen as much as I’d like) where a character comes out as trans and their s/o refers to them with their gender because they know it’ll make them happy like okay I’m explaining this badly but example because i love trans bokuto

my trans bokuto headcanons no one asked for but im too self indulgent to not do them:

when bokuto was a child he played sports, whenever they had to run bokuto was one of the first ones.

he also enjoyed playing with dolls but got bored pretty quickly or started weird ass stories that made the girls kick him out of the game.

when he first discovered the word «trans», everything started to make sense and he finally felt how he was 'fitting' into a certain gender. he ran, giddy and excited, to tell his parents and all his friends. although they needed some time, they were accepting and loving

he uses he/they pronouns + neopronouns (xe/zir) !! he's also gay af

he almost never feels dysphoric, but when he does it's... real bad. he tends to do self damaging stuff like wearing his binder for several days or not eating properly.

he doesn't feel much discomfort about his chest area, and doesn't wear a binder too frequently, tho he really likes trying different ways to bind and binders with colourful patterns.

he's openly trans and has his own association dedicated to help trans teenagers in need, whether with food, money, a place to stay or psychological stuff. he's very recognized for being a professional volleyball player AND an LGBT+ activist, he offered his help to a lot of celebrities and famous people to come out of the closet.
