Instead of being about a “pretty girl” isolated by her image and beauty, it becomes about a trans boy who feels forced to uphold the image of the most beautiful and popular girl in order to keep himself in the position of power. It turns the suicide note into one of a boy who feels the only way to escape his image, and therefore the constant weight of dysphoria, is to leave the world entirely, to “make it better” in his absence.
