I made this drawing of her coming out to the bros.

She's pretty much the same as canon JD, just that after the band's break down she realized that she was a girl.

When she gets the band back together she pretends to still be John Dory, wearing her jacket zipped up, and letting her brothers call her John. She says she did that because she didn't want them to get distracted by her change and focus on saving Floyd, but actually it was because she was scared of their reaction.

Floyd was the first one to know, because Jane went alone to Mount Rageous and didn't care to pretend to be a boy

If Cox was trans. Would he be the work out til his chest disappears and turns to just pec. Or did he get surgery for top surgery? I def feel like he would have bottom surgery personally. Feel free to disagree though. JD I feel could go either way. But him being so poor means its less likely that he would ultimately get it.

Ooh that's such a good question. I haven't given a TON of thought to trans Perry, but a few years back, @darknessandterrorandkittens wrote a oneshot where Perry and JD are both trans and talk about how they got their names (I'll find it and reblog it!) and I love it 🥰 Anyway, I mean. Perry does work out like it's his religion and very much prides himself on being as muscular as he is, so I can definitely see him doing that? And also a definite yes to bottom surgery for Perry. I think he'd have a lot more dysphoria in general, but especially related to his bottom bits. For JD, I don't think he's nearly as dysphoric when it comes to his "unmentionables" (even if he does sometimes refer to them as such) and that a lot of it, esp when he was younger, revolved around his chest bc it was something so visible to others and he hated that perception. Also I'm like. Fucking vibrating that I get to talk about all this lmao

I very much adore the headcanon that when JD came out as trans, Dan accepted it almost straight away but it also triggered his Cain Instinct and 15-18 years of brotherly torture had arose from him
