Observations along the Trans-Mongolian Railway 2009 (Part 7)
A 6 hour drive away from Mongolia's capital and I find myself roaming a desolate country side. I stop to take a photo of a yert nestled below some rolling green hills, and just as I release the shutter, a woman peeks her head out motioning for me to come inside. She pours me a cup of fermented horse milk, which tastes of fizzy yogurt, while Her husband is tidying up around their home. It is serene, dim, and a comforting experience—one that heavily contrasts the capitals madness.
