Anti-Trans Bills Across the United States
According to CNN, anti-trans bills have skyrocketed from 2020 to 2021. In 2020 there were 66 anti-trans bills sent to congress, and in 2021 the number jumped to 117. Currently the state of Arkansas, is the only state where a bill became law regarding a ban on healthcare treatment for transgender youth called “The Arkansas Save Adolescents From Experimentation Act.” (SAFE)
The Trump administration announced Friday it is eliminating an Obama-era regulation prohibiting discrimination in health care against patients who are transgender.
