A white snout lifted into the air. If she could just figure out what the scent was, Miki would be less concerned. It wasn’t terribly familiar to her, and the fact that it was closer to where she lived, was a discomfort regardless of who or what it was. She was so deep into the forest, most shouldn’t be able to find it, at least if they were trying to find it deliberately.
There were plenty of dangers in the forest. She wasn’t necessarily one of them unless threatened, but she had a number of reasons to check on unfamiliar creatures in her neck of the woods. Whether they were a threat or being threatened, it was something for her to do by checking out what was going on.
Perhaps some part of her isolated mind was just hungry for something different to do, though.
She slowly shifted forms, the dragon shrinking until she was the half human appearance she took on in most situations that involved other beings. Her wings folded behind her as she looked around the dense forest. “...is there someone here? There’s no need to hide--there’s no use in it, either, though. I knew you were here all the way from my own residence.”
