Save & Transfer & Back-up data tutorial
Saving and transferring data with Shimamatsu is SUPER easy, and here’s how to do it!
It should be the same for both iOS and Android. Just to be on the sure side though, use Chrome and not Safari or any other browser for this (since there have been issues before).
First off, go to the start screen!
Click on the right button (the left one is to clear cache).
The top button is to register your game data, which you do with the device you wanna save/back-up your data from.
The bottom button is when you want to retrieve game data, which you do on your other device that you wanna transfer the data to!
This screen is telling you - to sum it up - that you can continue playing with the same data after registerating data. Meaning, you don’t have to registrate/update you game like this several times (only once is enough) and you can continue playing the game on the same device even after registrating your data.
Once you click on the “Register” button (the yellow one at the bottom) it will take you to Marvelous’ website and let you pick an SNS to connect your data to. And once you’re done with that, you can “retrieve game data” on your other device (aka, the bottom button from the previous screen).
Now click on the yellow button.
Boom! You’re now on Marvelous site!
For... some reason it’s in English? I don’t know why, it’s not Google translating stuff, and I’m in Japan so uh...
As it says, you can connect your data to several SNS (social medias), not just one. I’m using Google+ so that’s what I picked! I don’t know if it looks differently for iOS users or someone who pre-registrated using another type of SNS.
And bo-boom! We’re done!
Now it should display your level and your island name. Underneath that it tells you that your data has been registrated for the above data, and reminds you not to forget your ID and password. If you get a different message than above (still displaying you level and island name though) it mean you’ve already backed up your data before and the backup was cancelled since it’s already up-to-date. But we still advice that you roll this backup from time to time since the game is prone to do rollbacks, meaning it’ll undo recent in-game actions like market purchases and harvesting. This might get fixed in a later patch (hopefully).
When you wanna retrieve your game data, you just click on the “retrieve game data” button (2nd image) and this will show up.
Click the bottom button (Retrieve game data) and it will take you to Marvelous again, choose the same SNS that you registrated your data on and you’re done!

Hey guys, currently I'm enrolled in COMN 2500 and while there is nothing wrong with the course, I have been alternatively having to choose between calling in sick from work and going to my Thursday tutorials (I can't change my work schedule because it's already as tight as it can be) and I'm afraid this whole thing will blow up in my face. Is there any way to go about switching tutorials right now?
I would recommend contacting the TA of the tutorial that you want switch to and explaining your situation, maybe s/he can work something out.
- H
What reason can I give that is eligible for me to switch to a different tutorial. Personally I'm changing because I don't really like my T.A. She is too strict and not interactive
I’m not really sure what reason you can use because it’s likely the tutorials are already full and you’ll have to switch with someone else. You can use the excuse of a course conflict, but if the tutorial you want to switch to is at the same time as your current tutorial then you’re out of luck. If you’re not happy with the TA then let the prof know, maybe he might be able to help.
- H
So how do I contact the teacher; do I meet him In person or I email the the teacher
You can do it either way it doesn’t matter, whatever you’re comfortable with.
- H
I want to change my tutorial but it's pass the due date to change tutorials without permission from teacher. What do I do?
You need to contact the professor if you want to change your tutorial, you can’t change it now without his/her permission.

Hi, i need advice on switching tutorials. I messaged the ta whose tutorial I want to switch into and told them I had a scheduling conflict when in fact that tutorial and my original tutorial run at the same time in the same building. He emailed me back and told me to go to his tutorial this week and see if another student would be willing to switch. I don't know what to do now since the both of the tutorials are at the same time. I wanted to tell the ta the real reason for switching but a friend
*but a friend told me to use the excuse of a conflict with my schedule because that would be more reasonable
This is a classic example of where lying can cause uncomfortable situations to occur. :P Well, you can attend the tutorial if you like, but there’s a high chance that the TA will ask when your tutorial is in case someone is interested in switching. If you want to avoid that situation then you shouldn’t attend the tutorial and just stick with the one you have.
*You and your friend should’ve thought this through is all I can say.
- H
Will i get charged if I want to transfer a tutorial?
As long as you remain in the same course then no I believe not.
